People are forgetting Pedro and Sarr at Watford stuck around in the championship as well as some of the the Burnley lads. I’d half imagine they would also have large release clauses aswell.

That type of money doesn’t just help you but new players it keeps the club afloat.

Davies does have over 150 pl appearances. Of the 2019 big money signings: Berge , McBurnie , C Robinson, Freeman and Osborn all had none - only Lys had some experience ! Davies maybe another Ravel/Rodwell

The more I think about it the less I am against this. He captained Everton at a young age and he seemingly wants to play. Those are 2 admirable things in his favour and he was obviously very highly thought of at Everton. Maybe he just needs a new home. As long as his wages aren't massive then I'm OK with it.

Agree he's a decent free transfer, surely a big upgrade on Fleck at least. I'd still hope we'll sign one or two more midfielders though.

In your opinion. Personally I've always been unimpressed when I've seen him play for Everton, but if he signs for us that I will back him like I do every Utd player. Let's face it he can't be worse than what we put out in the middle of the park last Saturday.
