We spend £1.5Million on a right back and no one complained about the price, and £900,000 for a striker people complain WTF is wrong with people

A lot of people complained and they still do...

Nobody complained when we brought hammond in on loan, but he was wank...

Pricetag is almost irrelevant if they don't perform for the team.

Bradshaw looked decent when he scored a late equaliser season before last.

Works hard, good touch and can put the ball in the net.

However, I suspect he needs a certain type of team, that being one that will get the ball into his feet early and then have lots of options around him to lay off. Movement at our club is the biggest problem Wilder faces as we have none. Just static players...just like the shower Hodgson put out recently.

So, on that note he needs to go elsewhere. That's before we actually discuss whether our club will spend any kind of fee on any player for the remainder of the transfer window. That will depend on outgoings....and even then any fee received will be sliced up to accommodate wages as well as any fee we look to pay.

So the price they would accept is about 500k then.

Not the big priority at the moment with Che and Billy getting over 30 goals between them in a shit side last year

I really hope that Tufty's master plan isn't the strike pairing of Sharp & Adams this season ....... because it doesn't work.

Sharp needs a big, strong, fast target man to play upfront with him this season and share 50 goals with him if we are to have any realistic chance of promotion, imho.

I'd agree about Billy, however, its perhaps unfair to suggest that they can't play together as we had a manager that didn't know his arse from his elbow last season when it came to team selection.

Billy and Che often ended up moving out wide instead of being in the box.

Personally i can see Che being used as a winger, with Billy alongside a big, strong target man, but we'll see

I also like Bradshaw and he was perhaps suited better to us than Billy was, from a team perspective. Billy has certainly got the goals and so has Che, even though they didn't work well together.

I reckon, if played right, Che has also got 20 goals and a load of assists in him.

Really? REALLY? A partnership of 50 goals? When did this ever happen in this league?

Obika (32 games) and Ajose (38) got 35 (70 games) last season and Grigg (40) and Jacobs (35) at Wigan got 35 (75) (the highest 2 top scorers from the same team in League 1) and wigan pissed the league, while swindon errrr finished lower than us (16th?) - Sharp (44) and Che (36) got 33 (80) between them.

Will never get a strike force that scores 50 goals between them, we just need more goals from all over the pitch. We had the 9th best scoring record last season which is no where near good enough. The additions of Hussey and Duffy and a target man will bring more goals to the team which is exactly what we need but 50 goals between a front 2 is just mental.

Just handed in a transfer request, been amongst the top goal scorers for a few seasons in league 1, only stumbling block is the two championship yorkshire rivals. But id give it a punt...

The £900k that Walsall want for him may be another stumbling block, as may his wage demands and the challenge of fitting him into the side (as he and Sharp are not disimilar players)

Unfortunately for the time being we are shopping at Aldi and Lidl, not Waitrose

If we get decent money for DCL there's no reason we shouldn't be able to go for players like this.

But we shouldn't go for Bradshaw. If we were to go big on a striker it should be Lee Gregory.

I think the main problem attracting such players is that given a choice they will pretty much always choose a higher league to go to, even if it is to a perceived lower table team. I don't think you can blame players for wanting to play at the highest level they can for as long as they can.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't at least try to sign them but just don't be surprised or pissed off if they go to the likes of Rotherham or Burton.

Bradshaw - looks like he will join Barnsley.
Poor Millers, can`t get anyone over the line can they?.

Thought Forster-Caskey was nailed on, Ryan Taylor started pre season. played at Parkgate, and has gone to Wigan.

And numerous bids for Lee Gregory rejected.

Got to be a good bet for relegation.

It was only Warnocks impact that kept them up. Going to be a tough job for Stubbs to carry that on.

And Rotherham have called off their 2nd friendly in Poland because of a `number of injuries`,
translated as a lack of players, after discovering all the trialists were shite

Bump...

He got 12 goals last season for a relegated team. 8 the year before in his first championship season.

Another one who could be a good acquisition?
Barnsley fans tell me he was played up top on his own far too often too. They don't rave about him but I think they would all be sad to see him go.
He will get close to 20 for them next season if we don't snap him up.
