Complete tosser for both sides, if the Flynny one wasn't a pen why didn't he book him for diving?

And only four minutes added time? Joke.

The decision not to award Gillingham a penalty was the worst of the lot. It looked like it was inside the box and he was about to give it but bottled it.

But yeah he was a complete fucking clown and Flynn should have had a penalty

It was a dive. Poor effort by Flynn (who was poor) and the ref did well to not get conned as he did all day with their embarrassing acting. He also got the big calls right when the kop were (wrongly) shouting for red cards. 7/10

I disagree completely

Pourquoi?

The bloke was a total fuckwit. Worst examples being Coutts's quick free-kick to Billy which he pulled back, & allowing their no.19, Norris, to just fuck about on the touchline for an age (a situation he prolonged by strolling over & booking him) while inexplicably holding up play as Norris did what he did.

That was a very poor decision, if a team want to take a quick free kick then they have the right to do so. The ref should have waited until the next break in play to book the player. Adkins sprinting down the touchline to confront him was an unusual sight though, he was jumping around like a box of frogs today.

Dive, should have booked Flynn.

From the kop we were not sure but all agreed if it wasn't a pen why was flynn not booked? Again from the kop there shout looked a yard outside the box, anybody seen it on TV?

We were sat in G block and had a decent view - our opinion was mixed and blurred from a good position, so not surprised the ref gave the goal keeper the benefit of doubt.

Flynn got a touch on the ball, which then got a touch on the sprawling goal keepers foot, so giving it a strange deflection.

Very difficult to decide in real time, but the keeper got a touch, so the ref probably deemed it a proper touch on the ball. Unsure if the goalkeeper then took Flynn down..........we think ! Got sympathy for the ref here.

As for the supposed Gills pen - the ref had an excellent view- very nearly in line with play. He was well placed to make the decision he did.

Both sets of supporters sang the that the referee plays with himself and both were right. He looked unfit, had appalling positioning, decision-making and understanding of the rules of the game, but credit him with putting the best tackle on Che Adams in the game:mad:. Shit League, shit officials.

Because he got the ball then the man. i.e. neither a foul or a dive.

His decisions were "OK". It was his positioning that baffled me, 4 or 5 times he was near the ball and had to apologise for tackling Adams

The Gillingham fans who gave me a lift from Trowell to Toddington thought ours was a pen and that theirs was definitely outside the box.

Far from the worst refereeing display, seemed to get most things right (again despite many on the kop getting irate) although I'd like to see flynns penalty claim again though.

A few decisions that they got first half were bang on.

However, he was a little slow to stamp out their play acting and the way they surrounded the ref was an embarrassment.

well they got a good view of theirs from the away end. Was in the Westfield and thought it did look just inside the area.

Interesting but he seemed to get most of the penalty (or non) decisions right and most of the bookings were right. He let game flow most of the time. his positioning was poor a few times (tackled Che) and he should have allowed the quick free kick to Sharp (one time he did not let play go) but I have seen a lot worse down here (we have had some bad uns this season).

Interesting he is getting pelters but no praise for getting some really tough decisions (some refs would have given all 3 as pens and I dont think any were having seen highlights) spot on.

Also liked the way he booked the guy for taking the mickey when he would not leave the pitch Not sure what else he could have done - he asked him to leave the field - then when he did not in a timely manner; he booked him? What else should he have done - he was only slightly on the pitch but was on it and could not let play continue this.
