Today’s Performance

You were crying saying it's just one loss. 10 points from 7 highlights it isn't. Not very clever are you?

Played like a league one team tonight. As fans we deserve so much better. You can't defend that performance. Zero intensity. No plan B. Manager who can't change the course of a match. Anybody who thinks CW is a long term solution for this football club doesn't know a thing about football. He was great in the past but he ain't the future. Period.

Again pal. You're so clueless I can't imagine your a blade. We're playing a left back in CM, does that make it clearer to you?

Rifle pig being the worst

Rifleman was unmasked as a Middlesboro fan.
He disappeared off this forum, then ITKRifleman appeared, assumed he was the same person and still a Boro fan, hence his hatred of Wilder.

Completely agree. We’re going to lose games and we’re going to play badly - shit happens but it’s about how you bounce back after a setback.

Threadbare squad in desperate need of some TLC. Tonight and Swansea 1st half should really emphasise how badly we need recruits, and quickly.
As much as I agree with you we’ve been playing this bad for a while now but getting away with it. Teams seemed to have sussed us out now. Why spend all that money on cannon when we’ve not got a midfielder who can make a simple forward pass to put them in

Three games in 6 days, with minimal options for rotation, and we took 6 points. Understandable that one or two looked sluggish and others lacked sharpness on the way back from injury. Keep going at 2 points per game and we'll be in the mix at the end.

We've had the rub of the green in many games this season. Tonight we didn't against a well organised team that knew their tactical plan and carried it out very effectively. Move on and do a job on Derby.

I’d rather have Hecky than Chris “do you know who your talking to, I’m a premier league manager” wilder, sack him and bring a forward thinking manager in we’re in a great position for an up and comer to see the job through.

We missed Hamer.

It's a bit of a strange phase where we've done well to keep going despite the injuries. Players have stepped up and taken on responsibility.

Now, we've made a couple of signings, more are supposed to be on their way, and we have players coming back from injury.

But these players may not be quite ready to be the main men so soon. The rest of the squad may be affected by the situation. Are they staying in the team or will they be replaced? The result today was certainly that we looked pretty clueless. I looked at the line up today and thought it could be a difficult night, where we needed some luck, and some individuals to really step up.

Our plan B, chucking on all the strikers we had available in a messy formation with several players out of position, not quite knowing where to run, or where to kick it, was hard to watch.
Agree without Hamer we were too slow and predictable in build up play. Tonight showed how much we miss Souttar also and the urgent need for a like for like replacement. As for Plan B it was painful to watch how disjointed we were with 4 forwards and only Souza in the middle when we moved Peck out to RB.

Foxy come on mate do the right thing. I don't go talking shit about Carrick on the Middlesbrough forums. Though I could. Cos he's wank Right Rifleman ITK

Shit happens. You have a couple of these a season, where circumstances conspire (in this case all our midfielders being knackered/injured).

Against Swansea the little burst after ht yielded a goal and their heads went, last night it didn’t - they got their composure back and took control.

Hopefully players recovering/1 or 2 new signings will mean the next performance can show this week to be an anomaly which we somehow got 3 points from.

That said, this is the first time this season I saw players hiding when things were going badly. They can knock that on the head.

Time to grit your teeth. Get off the canvas and show us what your made of CW.

Bang on.

Without blaster.davies and hamer in mf we'll struggle . Souza not up to speed too and we effectivly play without any of our leading midfielders. Measure points total last 4 games and we're fine
First goal made a big difference last night.

Done extremely well to say we’ve got the results we have recently. I didn’t expect tonight but this kind if result has been possible for 5 weeks.

Our midfield has been absolutely dismantled with injury, our left back playing out of position and no fit strikers for multiple games. We have done well.

Cooper can only preserve us for so long in times like these.

The teams in and around us are stronger. Granted if the window goes as it seems we will be much nearer in ability and depth to Burnley, Sunderland and Leeds but up to now we just haven't been.

Souza looked like everything we have missed recently. Brereton - Diaz will be pivotal when fit.

Massive miss not having Hamer he is our heartbeat at times but if we can keep battling until the new signings are up to speed there aren’t many 3-0 losses coming. I would argue there arent many losses at all let alone 0-3 particularly at home.

Tonight is just a blip but its hard for it not to hurt when were constantly chasing top spot against two teams that came with a top two squad 20 odd games ago when ours is only just turning in to one.

The more i analyse the more i cant believe how well we have done this last 5 month.

Tyrese Campbell is becoming a favourite. Dont forget there is still every possibility we take points off both teams above us in this half of the season.

Wilder. He really is the best man for the job. He gets it and he was gutted but id rather leave losing 3-0 than leave losing 2-0 and not throw the lot at it!

It was a sackable performance in terms of wilders position.
I'm not a Wilder fan but it was not a sackable performance. I thought the team selection was wrong especially as there was no pace going forward(why not start Brewster or Campbell ?) and the build up play, as it has been for many weeks, is far too slow.
We have known since the Soutter injury we need a dominant centre half because Robinson ,despite his efforts, is not good enough yet we have still bring in a replacement which I hope is rectified over the next few days

Let’s be absolutely honest as a fan base. We are doing very well this season, given the circumstances. Clear out in summer, thin squad, key players injured.

I just thought Hull were bang at it last night and we weren’t. I thought they closed us down quickly and were more direct with the ball. We made silly mistakes all over the park, but every team has games like this.

I have had my fair share of doom and gloom moments (last season wasn’t short of many examples), but the negative comments on here are way over the top in my opinion. We will be ok. I’m sure of it.

For those that booed the team, I want to ask a simple question- what impact do you think that has on the players? Sheffield United has always thrived when the club feels connected. If we get on their backs, we lose all of that good work that has happened all season. Someone behind me shouted ‘Callum, you’re wank’ loud enough for him to hear…….. is he wank? Really?

Anyway, free country and all that, but I am worried we are becoming an entitled fan base that expects success.

Up the blades.

Very surprised that nobody has mentioned Peck, me personally thought it was his worst performance for us

Why the fuck do we deserve better as "fans". Are we special or something. We all just sit in silence anyway every game, and then some even start booing, those doing that deserve absolutely nothing.
No plan B, well what about the substitutions that instantly worked when brewster nodded it on to tyrese who finished it, only a mistake from the linesman stops it being 1-1. We were well on top till the sucker punch of there 2nd. So there was a plan b wasn't there and it worked barring a little error from the lino. I'm not gonna say wilder is the man for the future or anything on those lines , I'm not a fan purely cos of how he left last time but the job he's done this season is absolutely outstanding, none of us expected to be doing this well, absolutely none of us. He absolutely doesn't deserve any grief this season, he's doing a great job. It's the first loss of the season against anyone outside the top 4 around us, that's a brilliant record itself so why you'd feel the need to come on and write a post like you have is pretty pathetic really ain't it.

Ridiculous comment.
