No one is belittling his achievements but I'm happy to accept Southampton's judgement that they'd seen enough to realise it was time to move him on. He struggled at Reading and has continued showing all the hallmarks of a manager who doesn't have the answers. Time for him to go.
In your opinion. In mine, many others, and hopefully the boards, it's time to back him and give a manager a bit longer than 9 months to make an impact.
