to sack NA or not

Wish someone could sack 90 million man for constantly regressing us, sacking managers, flogging anyone who's ever any good and spouting some absolute shit in almost every interview he gives.

Feel sorry for Adkins as he's going to probably be the latest fall guy.

What a bunch of cunts we have running our club.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a member of this Forum.

Woody , being serious , I don't think any of us can take our bat and ball home on this one , as it does have a Clough situation ring to it , with history having a way of repeating itself, in a bad way down at the lane.

The board is already split between McCabe and his board members ( all blades ) and the Prince and his board members , who have only legence to SUFC - cash.

Bit like that bloke who sells his shares in Aresnal , buys Everton , but says he is a Man Utd fan.

I want Adkins to stay , but if the board is split like us fans are , then this forum gives a clear and political view on how we could finish up . As poverty comes through the door , loves goes flying out of the window.

It's becoming 50/50 to me with Adkins , which could be a further fall for us , as I cannot think of anyone to replace him , plus we waste a boat load of money again on compensation.

Does anyone know how much money has gone on sacking managers over the years?

Magic Mike says so? That's me sold!

The only certainty is that's he'll twatterise a screen-grab from here of someone criticizing him so that his entourage can fawn over him and beg him not to take any notice of those nasty men on S2

I've had two, Pinchy had one, anyone else?

I hope the board are fully aware of the situation with the players if they're considering sacking him.

I think the Board are aware of the situation with the players. McCabe in his interview a few weeks ago referred to being disappointed with the players that have been brought in (not just those brought in by Adkins).

I know it's not easy for the club. They have to toe the party line but I wish someone could give us just a tiny bit of communication that keeps us informed of what's going on. Not too much to ask is it?

Although I think we'll hear something just before the renewal letters hit our doormats.

Sorry My Lord, but I haven't a clue what you are talking about - board splits? Absolute Nonsense. It's the Forum I'm embarrassed about, not the Board who I am sure will do the right thing and that certainly is not reading this thread.

What are you on about My Lord?

"Being serious"! You can't be serious!!

Not saying we should or shouldn't go with Wilder but I remember a few years ago when we were deep in the brown stuff and a fellow blade got the job basically because nobody else was up for it. Didn't go down too well with the fans either......... Did alright though Mr Warnock though didn't he

No manager would be given 7 years at this club.
We barely last 7 months without sacking one.

Yep. He doesn't read forums though!

I see. A prick on twitter starts posting bullshit and some people start swallowing it like a $5 hooker. Unbelievable.

Which part?

OK fellow Blade.

Let's examine your statement and your question.

Warnock -over 7 years -fact. as recently as 2007.

Less than 7 months? David Weir was a victim of circumstances.

Your statement was absolute nonsense. Cheap rhetoric, yes?.....

This thread is serious as the club on all fronts is not performing. Some good points raised as you read through them.

The members who have contributed to this thread IMO have talked sense . If there is a board meeting tomorrow then Adkins , team performances will be on the agenda , and no doubt a talking point , with differing opinions on the problem , solution , cause , effect .

It would not surprise me if the board are split like us fans . McCabe and Co are blades as well as board members and will be concerned on the progress and performances of the team and manager this season.

I do not want us to sack Adkins , IMO it would be suicidal as we have no plan in place to do a Watford.

The Prince , I am not too sure of , and not convinced that the board are in unison all pulling in the same direction.

Being embarrassed of this thread , is not facing up to the fact that Adkins is walking a tight rope .

I hope the board sticks and backs Adkins

You usually have either a Cameron or a Boris opinion .

Such has become our desperation to end what will now be our longest spell outside the top two divisions. Depressingly we look further away from a return than ever

I was against sacking Wilson , after his best players and Ched , where sold or sent down ,after his first season in charge .
Was against the sacking of Clough, even though his football left a lot to be desired , he did improve us over his term in office , he also gave us some cracking cup runs , even got us to show up at Wembley for a game .
So I would stick with him , even though his football , tactics, could be due to the squad he inherited, leave an awful lot to be desired, so from my point of view , I would stick with him , as I said previously, he must get rid of most of the present squad , it's shite , give him till Christmas of next season , when he's had a chance to build his own team .
If at that stage he's failed to deliver, then yes , thank you , but goodbye.
After all he's the best manager we could have hoped for at the time , especially with his record, and that's why I'd stick with him .

Sorry fellow Blade I quote below what you said about the Board being split. everything else you mention is keyboard tittle tattle, sorry but it's tiresome.

That's what I'm embarrassed about. On this thread somebody said we employ managers for less than 7 months. Sorry, boardroom splits, employing managers for less than 7 months, it's all keyboard fantasy.

Don't worry, the keyboard does not rule.

It was clearly an exaggeration to make a point. Most sensible fellow Blades could probably see how obvious this was and not make a big deal about it.

The first part, where I stated that no manager here would get 7 years now, do you disagree?

Clough- Less than 2 seasons
Wilson- Less than 2 seasons
Weir- Less than 1 season
Adams- 1 season

Adkins?

Woody - you seem to be looking to cross the street to pick a fight with anyone. Everything OK?

Hyberbole is cheap - clearly! That's alright then.

We shall wait and see . Fantasy and Reality cross over in football especially at BDTBL. None of us can argue with that .

Football is 99% tittle tattle ! Opinions . That what makes it a circus and a fantastic sport .

Tiresome or not , let's hope we stick with Adkins .

The decision could well be influenced by what's happening behind the scenes. For example, if NA is asking the board to sign players from higher leagues (like the ones we have signed / loaned this season) the board need to decide if that's the way they want to do - especially given that the owners aren't willing/able to invest more money at present.

If the board are wanting a more youth-based approach and NA isn't giving them young targets, e.g. he's giving names like Dean Hammond & Alex Baptiste, then the board might conclude that he isn't the man to lead us forward.

Whatever happens, I think they need to decide to either sack him now, or let him sign players in the summer and give him 12-15 games next season with his squad.
