Time to drop Howard?

Had no confidence in him on Friday, spiled a few shots that he shouldn't have, thankfully none of them were pounced on by Notts, would now be a good chance to give Turner an extended run in the team?

He is the last person who needs to be dropped at the moment.

Was going to reply yesterday but have only just stopped laughing. Seriously what a tit !

One mistake doesn't make a season, last week against Preston at times he kept us in the game. Disappointing thing for keepers compared to any other position one mistake means a goal. We need a settled 11 and I don't think dropping Howard will give us that.

Theres been a number of occasions this season where he simple 'stood still' and didn't move.

Hmmmmm...

Time to re-visit the thread?

It wasn't very inspiring last time I saw it never mind revisit the fucking thing.

Who's going to replace him then?
I presume you are favouring Turner who, in my opinion, got away with a less than impressive first half against Swindon but was good in the second. Does half a good start mean he should get an extended run as opposed to Howard who has had a reasonable season behind a merry go round of a defence? Not for me thanks.

He's not a great keeper, but we've been spoiled in the past. However, I watched the league highlights this weekend and the standard of goalkeeping on show was diabolical. Howard is one of the better ones in this league.

I would prefer someone in the net who doesn't kick it straight out of play at least 3 times every game. People keep saying that he is a good shot stopper, all goalkeepers at this level should be good at that. Saying that, I think we need another midfielder... It's been a week now since we brought in the last one

Fuck me Clough has got it all wrong, and so have we for that matter...it's not the apparently missing striker or the lack of a well cemented regular back four or the seeming inability of our multitudinous midfield to create that elusive opening that's holding back our promotion charge...no, it's the goalkeeper who, despite receiving regular good marks from Deadbat and others has gone and made a couple of mistakes, including not bringing his stepladder to the Spurs home game...did I really read on here that some believed he should have done better with that Erikson free kick? At a time when everyone's moaning about too much chopping and changing and lack of a settled team how is dropping the best keeper at the club going to achieve anything? I wouldn't mind but he's hardly Nicky Johns is he?
