I don't see why people think that we badly need 40 points. Usually the team that finishes 17th end up with 34 points so I would say 6 more points is what we need just to make sure.

Its looking increasingly as though we might have to keep an eye on Charlton, they were superb against West ham on saturday, contrast that with NW's selection and performance on Saturday. I really do think we will need to be around 40 points and the sooner the better.

Just winning 4 out of 5 of our home games will be enough to keep us up i think.

Looking at the fixtures, Charlton could well win their next 3 games if their good run continues, which would be extremely worrying...

I agree that Charlton are our biggest threat and the win against west ham will have them buzzing for the upcoming games.

However, even if Charlton do win their next 3, they will take points off Wigan which will strengthen our position over them (trying to find a positive in that depressing scenario).

I think that our games against Charlton, Wigan and West Ham will decide who stays up; I just hope our confidence is not shot to pieces as we have a tought run of games before then.
