While I have flight and accommodation sorted
My friends who normally get me tickets for home games are going to be struggling to get me one , for this game ,
Already posted my appeal on “general chat “ and Irish Blades Facebook page
Offer stands
Couple a free pints , and price of the ticket if anybody’s interested
I wouldn't be surprised when a week before the game there are still 2000 tickets left so they sell to anyone with previous purchase history i.e. no requirement for 500+ points.

How did your friends get you a ticket if it's only 1 ticket per customer number. Don't they go, and just get your ticket with their number. If so you have just helped them to build their points up. If you are on their friends list you will have got your own points even though they might have bought the tickets.

A person wouldn't have much purchase history if they haven't racked up 500 points.

They won't just go on general sale. They'll offer them to ST holders and those on the system with lower points

Ticket office were adamant they would not do this, either option.
If there are tickets left after the other options are exhausted, then the club have the option to open it to ST holders at least.

They won't go on general sale, don't think the police will allow it, but they may reduce the loyalty points to 3-400.

Personally i think it'll sell out before this anyway.

Agree they have options, but from their reply to my mail, they are saying it isn't going to happen, which I don't get. Don't they want to sell as many tickets as is (safely) possible?

I think your point is answered in that in order to keep things as safe as possible the current sales policy is the right one.

They can reassess after this next phase.

I would be very surprised if there are 2,000 people wanting to go to this game who don't already have 500 points. The 1 ticket per person thing has been going since last season(?) so that's about 3-4 games worth. Maybe about 100 might be unsold IMO.

Yeah i can't see it being a problem to sell out.

Is he actually serious? I thought it was a wind up.
If anybody responded to that it's as embarrassing as the clip itself and even if that picture is unrelated I'm staggered that people have 'liked' it.

I was trying to remember when the one ticket per customer number was brought in. I recall giving my mate my customer number so he could get me tickets.

I admit to not watching that clip but have seen him referenced before and thought it was a docu-soap style wind up.

Just to clarify - is he serious? Was he in any way dangerous? And did someone hospitalise him? Because it would seem a bit like kicking a rather stupid puppy to me.

diplomat don't know about any of the other stuff but either it was a wind up or the lad was daft (size of him he'd need to be a martial arts expert to hold his own). But when a picture of somebody who's been battered get's 'likes' it's out of order.

The clip is a wind up. The picture is him.

He co-wrote a book. If my memory serves me correctly, he appeared on Danny Dyer’s Real Football Factories and said some silly things about United & Jeremy Kyle and said some silly things about the 2 Leeds lads who got murdered in Turkey. In retrospect, his mouth wrote cheques that his body couldn’t cash.

Hmmmm maybe so but no need to nearly kill him

If all the part timers bought season tickets there wouldn't be a panic thread would there?

There are thousands of seats left tonight no sell out will happen unless they change this stupid policy!!!

Why is it stupid. The policy is fine so far. It's still 3 weeks to the game.

Loyal supporters should be able to get a seat. There's plenty left, as long as stupid people don't buy their piggy mates a ticket just to increase their own points balance and sod the real supporters.

I don't think it's a stupid policy for people to have to have had previous purchase history but think because of the points restriction, it won't sell out. From memory, last season, ST holder could get +1s so that meant a lot of part-timers could get tickets. This season it's not an option so think that's why it won't sell out.

This, it took forever to sell out after the stage that starts today last season, and that was with season tickets getting a +1. I'm still looking for one for a friend coming from abroad for the game, if it sells out to people on the system then fair enough, if not it's SUFC turning income and support down for no real reason

The points restriction takes about 3 games to achieve.

100 point for a home game .. so 5 unless they managed to buy 2 away tickets at 150 points so maybe down to 4 game min. Unlikely. Still hardly any over time.

However one minimum solution is if anyone bought any ticket prior to the release of this games requirements (except previous derby games), so automatically would be on system too.

I am sure the minimum 500 points rule will mean 28k crowd likely which is a shame. Not that I’ll give a monkeys if we win it !!!

For the majority of Derby games in the last 20 years there’s always been some kind of restriction on tickets, whether that be loyalty points or having to buy tickets for 3 matches in one go. So I don’t think it’s entirely unexpected that you can’t just rock up off the street and expect to get in.
The LP scheme has been going for 12 years now, and, while I get that some people used to get others buying their tickets for them it’s not totally inconceivable for there to come a time when you’ll need your own loyalty account with LP’s on it. I can’t believe there’s 2000+ people with no loyalty account or less than 3/4 games attendance, that seems remarkably high.

I don't understand it either, it happens every year. Surely a few years ago, someone missed out on a ticket because their mate/family/pet dog usually buys their tickets so no points and went to the effort of actually registering on site to get the LPs - if not, you really only have yourself to blame.
