So, because Hillsborough is a death trap, SWFC were complicit in the disaster and SYP are, well, the less said the better, we are being roped into this sordid affair by association, i.e., of simply coming from the same city. That place wants fucking dynamiting and the whole district needs renaming. Instead of propping that fucking club up to everyone else's detriment, It's about time the city's "elders" grabbed this matter by the balls and fucked them off and stopped dragging this city down with them.

I say, Snoots, I mean, get off the fence old chap

And they found Ched guilty with no evidence.

When will the pigs finally get hammered for it?
They will fall back on the old West Ham excuse of those that owned the club then are no longer at the club.

So why have things changed since we were in the PL? There was no trouble then, and we didn't have all the daft segregation rule. Our club has a few idiots but is no worse than other similar-sized clubs, is it?

In the Prem, there were large numbers of away fans at the Lane and large numbers of home fans at our away matches.

For the last 6 seasons, our fans have hugely outnumbered away fans at the Lane and home fans at our away matches and have become accustomed to very little opposition to their bully boy tactics.

Easy to be big and hard in those circumstances especially when some of those grounds have no idea how to cope with thousands of travelling fans.

They'll have a shock next season :D

Dkc went to the effort of getting me a ticket for my pal. My pal is now unable to attend. 1seat on kop now available to anyone who wants it at face value.

And just to think, the Council were throwing their weight behind that shithouse for the World Cup bid in preference to BDTBL. Did they really imagine FIFA would have sanctioned that. They would rather have sacrificed a World Cup bid for Sheffield than gone along with our bid. Wankers.

I doubt it. They'll run a fucking mile.

I'm sure McCabe was saying that with the plans in place to bolt an extra 3,200 seats at the back of the Kop it meant relatively minimal disruption, think we'd lose at most 5,000 seats.

I believe most of the Kop would remain open whilst building work was being done, probably close only the back of the Kop.

The main serious work, roof extension, removal of posts would be done over the Summer.
That does make sense actually. The ground works and large part of the structure could potentially be done before the end of the season. During close season, the current roof could be removed and current stand adjoined to the new structure behind.

I still think the ROI could potentially be better by extending the South Stand.

The whole very idea of netting as segregation is fucking stupid. It's counter productive. Football fans don't want to attack each other, they want to posture and act hard. Take the netting away and have just a thin line of stewards and they wouldn't dare. We've literally sold out and will still have 2,000 empty seats in the stadium. It's absolutely stupid. That could've been an extra £40k in the coffers

We have to play ball with the SAG & SYP I'm afraid. Look what they've done at Hillsborough, reduced their capacity by 8k.

The fact they've let us split the bottom tier with home & away says a lot about the state of our ground. They could have easily said no to that.

UTB!

Can someone remind me of the riots we used to have in the premiership season because I can't recall any. There was nothing like the amount of segregation we have now. Several match gates were at or close to capacity if I remember.

Ah, but it's different now. Total overkill of the netted-off 'segregation areas' is necessary to ensure rival fans don't get too near to each other or violence may occur. Then, at full-time, SYP (in vast numbers outside) will gleefully allow both sets of fans out at the same time. All those video cameras and the 'hate wall' need to get a regular outing. A few (probably innocent) heads will be cracked to justify all the overtime. And, if anything serious occurs, there's statements to be altered.

Man City v Man Utd tonight, segregation just One row of stewards or Police! Can't Sheffield police do this? or are they totally useless.
