Nothing we didn't know or suspect already, but three decents players all out at once? That really is grim.

Danny Wilson has confirmed the news that two of his players have undergone knee surgery in the last week.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of Saturday's clash with Brentford, Wilson revealed both Diego De Girolamo and Lecsinel Jean-Francois have been under the knife to cure a similar problem.

The Gaffer commented: "Diego (De Girolamo) had his scan and underwent surgery straight away on a ruptured cruciate ligament.

"It will keep him sidelined for the long-term; we are certainly looking at a minimum of six months, which will mean he will miss the start of next season.

"The same goes for Lecsinel (Jean-Francois), who has had the same operation. During a scan it was discovered he had a ruptured cruciate, the same as Diego.

"It is a real blow for both lads and I can honestly say I am gutted for them. It isn't easy for anybody, but especially for a young lad who had all the excitement of the run-in in front of him. For Lecs, it just seems to be one thing after another, but as with Shaun (Miller) they will both have all our support and backing to get them back fit as soon as possible."

To be fair, and unlucky as it is, they've hardly been key to this seasons efforts (although Miller should certainly have seen more playing time).

As for LJF, he's improved from being a fifty/fifty choice (in a lot of peoples opinion) with Williams to a possible replacement for Ashley Cole since he's been injured. He'll be in with a shout for Messi's World footballer of the year award by the time we see him again.

I dont think we will see him again. He signed a 2 year deal I believe which is up on July 31st. Sounds harsh but there is no way they can extend the deal and I expect him to be released.

He has started 22 games in 2 years. It would be financial suicide to give him a further deal especially with the finanical situation at the club currently. If he gets fit then he can have a week to week contract if he ever gets back to fitness but he has had 2 or 3 very serious injuries in the last 12 months and there is not guarantee he will ever play again.

Totally agree however hard that is for the young lad.
Its all about results and finance.

Sad times for both lads. Hopefully they can fully recover, we could do with both of them being fully fit to help us out.

Jules Rimet still gle.......
