Yeah, everybody has a price, that double cross / deal probably cost us an FA cup final appearance.
(which I thought we could win)

Take solace that the Prince doesn't give away players for free, if anybody goes, we'd be getting top dollar, he's nobody's mug unlike our past owners..

Remember, we agree deals when players come into the club that if a premiership team comes in, they can talk to them and leave if they want to, so long as our valuation is met, you'll see many scratching thier heads about Anel and the steal of a deal we seem to have made..

This clause is part of the reason they come.. We sell ourselvelves as a stepping stone to the big time, and the list of players that left us and had premiership careers is huge, which convinces the incoming player to sign.

As great as berge is, with a year or so left and he goes for 25m, will anybody really complain?

Love him to stay, GLTTL if he goes..
With berge, He does very much divide opinions, an undoubted talent , but one I feel we don't use to his full potential, he his certainly an asset to is in both ways, if we keep him he has the quality for a promotion push, if we sell him we recoup a good amount of money and free up wages, for me he seems like a model pro...keeps his head down and gets on with playing, none of this nonsense media talk trying to force a move bullshit that some players.do

I think he's an absolute Rolls Royce mate, he's well worth keeping and I hope we do, but I fear Liverpool, and we'd still owe money for Brewster to them, I find over the years that very often players go both ways cancelling out some of the remainder of any outstanding debt..

Liverpool lost Henderson through injury last night.. Its not good news, if we still owe 10m for brewster, it makes berge 15m (if we'd accept 25m as the rumour goes)

Can you imagine in the past if we hadn't signed anyone on deadline day, there would have been a meltdown.

Today we're hoping we hear absolutely nothing other than 'new contract for NDiaye'

I suspect our choices are very limited. Arblaster is probably a better choice on the face of it. He at least has a great footballing brain, and a maturity about him, despite his tender years.
Coulibally is another option, but not really seen enough of him.
The big positive is, they are both our players already.
The only upside to losing a top player this late in the window, is the club will be better off financially. The options of deploying the potential of Arblaster and Coulibally, are the unknowns.

ETA I don’t think Egan is such a big concern right now. If he gets injured or suspended, we might have to play Anel and Basham?

Not exactly a worrying option. :)
It worries me , especially with the mysterious sale of Lopata.
I don't want to put Anel CCB + lose his attacking & goals.
But Bash isn't s natural at CCB.
So injury to Egan creates a significant problem.
Also , Bash is the only cover we have for Furious just now.
We are vulnerable at CCB.
