N/a could be playing crafty here. when your buying from anyone you dont want them to know youve got massive sums of money because that players value can tend to automatically double. we dont want to be held to ransom by other clubs thinking we have masses of money. So n/a probably keeping what we have got close to his chest shrewd and sensible if thats the case .

If there are 6 or 7 teams in L1 with bigger budgets than us then the Board should hang their heads in shame.

Good point, I doubt we would have got him here on the 7th biggest budget in League One and the board having the ambition of gaining automatic promotion this season. His reputation is at stake at the end of the day.

Just because we have a bigger ground , bigger support , bigger facilities , does not mean we have a bigger budget .
. I think there is a bit of psychology going on , for other clubs , agents , board directors etc . It may deflect getting hit by inflated prices , which clubs will already try it on , with us being the so called big fish in the little pond of league 1, with ongoing championship aspirations .

The only Bigger factor is players . Yes we need bigger players especially at CB , but these will come , after Adkins has seen all the players perform in a competitive friendly ( today ).

Adkins and SUFC need promotion , but so do all clubs . IMO we have a bigger and better chance than the rest of em in this division.

Just because we have a bigger ground , bigger support , bigger facilities , does not mean we have a bigger budget .

Totally agree with this - the way the FFP works in our Division allows for owners to pump extra cash in without penalty - therefore if a club is prepared to throw money at it they can have a gate of 5,000 but still have a bigger budget.

For me the key this season is sorting the CH issue and knocking them in at the other end. Sort that and I think we have a decent chance of going up, fail to and we will remain in this accursed division.
