Well the FiveThirtyEight odds update after every game, so the pillocks at Sunderland Echo could write the same bloody article every week.

Of course, 538 doesn't make claims to be a supercomputer, it just runs 000s of simulations based on their ranking of the relative qualities of different teams and tots up the frequency with which each outcome occurs.

Surely these days, a regular computer could make these predictions with similar accuracy. I expect a smartphone has enough processing power to go through the data in milliseconds. I looked it up, and apparently according to the official definition, it's only classed as a "supercomputer" if it inaccurately predicts football league tables.
