Honestly all the fuss about Burnley, we effectively handed them top spot by trying our best to snap as many hamstrings as we could in the squad. And then we still spanked em. Failing that we’d have been 6 clear by now. They play decent football, but it’s not unbelievable, press high, play wide, take on your man.

No great fuss, just acknowledging that they are top for a reason, have a good squad and are likely to be 1st or 2nd.

Supercomputer is not that super, it forgot to include Wednesday.
A "Supercomputer" that has to release new predictions 3 or 4 times per season as it's always wrong. If it was that super, it would get it there or there abouts in July.
Anybody can sit here and say United have a great shot at automatics when we're 5points clear of 3rd in mid-December.

computers follow logic, unfortunately football does Not.
you only have to look at our results against Rotherham and Burnley for proof of this, subsequently any computer based prediction has every chance of being wide of the mark

Blades League winners with 89 to 92 points, and Billy Sharp to score the goal that secures promotion

Said it start of last season Matt

Their progress only gets measured by the massivecomputer

They finish first every season because the massivecomputer can only recognise them as worthy enough to be measured this way

Well the FiveThirtyEight odds update after every game, so the pillocks at Sunderland Echo could write the same bloody article every week.

Of course, 538 doesn't make claims to be a supercomputer, it just runs 000s of simulations based on their ranking of the relative qualities of different teams and tots up the frequency with which each outcome occurs.

Click bait! Nobody is anywhere near finalising their squads so what’s the point of this
I thought it usually came out the week before season started.

1. Tekkover will happen
2. Wilder will go
3. New manager and players will arrive
4. Top six

2024/25 supercomputer predictions….

1. Burnley
2. Weeds

9th pigs

17th Blades

Surely these days, a regular computer could make these predictions with similar accuracy. I expect a smartphone has enough processing power to go through the data in milliseconds. Why go to all the effort of using a "super" computer? Shouldn't they be reserved for things like space rocket launches?

I do not know what makes it a “super” computer as opposed to a computer. Maybe it supports the S6 trufflers

it just wants the pigs in the prem like the rest of the football world. dont you know

After recruitment hasn’t even started I can’t think of a less worthwhile exercise!

I looked it up, and apparently according to the official definition, it's only classed as a "supercomputer" if it inaccurately predicts football league tables.
