The draw for Stoke puts them on 17 points, but a mere four points off the play-offs at this early-ish stage of the season.

The table is mad. The old adage of 'anyone can beat anyone' has often rung true in this division, but I'm not sure I've ever seen it quite as concentrated as it appears to be this year.

We need to accept that we're going to have nights like tonight. We're going to be frustrated home and away by teams we should have put to bed (tonight, Derby) and we're going to comfortably beat teams we're not expected to do too much against (Villa, Blackburn).

An annoying day at the office today despite a good performance. The nature of the defeat was irritating, but my point is that we're surrounded by sides that could easily do a number on us at any time.

We just need to hope it doesn't occur on the 9th of November.

I predict that by the end of the season drawing with Stoke won't seem surprising.

I'll call it now. The team that is going to come good and surprise everyone is Brum. They're the best team to face us and are playing into a groove at the moment. That guy up front with the funny ears doesn't half look decent too.

Very frustrating, missing chances. It get's masked by our dominance in a lot of games resulting in a couple of goals, but chances are going begging and if they don't go in we'd keep going.
It's when one goes in that the problems seem to start lately, it makes you hope for 1-0 in the 94th minute so that we can't fuck it up

Very concentrated. Since 2014 on this day, average range of points from top place to bottom was 22. This season it's 17. It's really here to take advantage of as there doesn't seem to be a Wolves this season, which makes tonight's draw very frustrating albeit a fantastic performance.

I thought that when we played them and from about half an hour that I saw against forest and West Brom. They’ll be up there.
