Best performance? Maybe if it was against the Barca team 5 years ago.Well if we can do Barca 4-0 i'm not stopping thinking. As a proud Blade tonight I doth my cap to probably the best performance I have ever seen, astonishing.
3-0 down, missing Salah and Firmino, they had to stop Barca scoring, and score at least 4 goals themselves, nah then give em some credit for doing it that was an amazing game to witness.
As I watched Liverpool in the second half I kept thinking, 'We'll be playing them next season!' Flippin' heck. They were stunning.
I thought it was more fun when English clubs used to perform well by accident. What a season in loads of competitions. On the back of that World Cup and English clubs performing well domestically and intentionally.
England in the Nations League then we shock the Premiership in the new season.
Woodburn was an unused sub, that's about the only Blades connection (although he was too crap for our bench).whisper it... but its in the wrong section
Their intensity in the second half was phenomenal.
It's no coincidence Liverpool produce these performances when their support is like that. Nowhere else in England gets remotely close to Anfield on nights like this. Non stop noise and intensity.
Barca on the other hand showed a large degree of mental weakness. They went to pieces and couldn't cope. The definition of comprehensively beaten. The competition was on a plate for them and they still fucked it up. Against a Liverpool side minus Salah and Firmino. Piss poor.
The best team over the 2 games has gone through, that's for sure.
And to be fair only Man City could possibly be considered better than them this season.
But as for the Champions League in general.... I'm bored of all this crazy shit. The 'impossible' is happening far more often than it should be at the top level of world football.

Great Post mate. I was going to start a thread on Anfield atmosphere but will just add to this existing one.
We need to really ramp it up and make the Lane a. Horrible scary place for opposition teams. It really would be worth several points over the course of a season which could mean all the difference between success and. Not staying up.
Just to help make this more Blades related.
Barcelona may now go for Pochettino.
Spurs will be after Chris Wilder.
