Have you sourced that Billionaire owner for us yet?

Not my job. Though how did Leicester get that and we didn't? Two cities with not much difference, they were in league one a couple of years before we were a decade ago.

Even the fkin Dingles have got billionaire owners before us.

They must have thought outside the box, after having a deep dive into the subject matter.

Having a billionaire owner definitely helps but they do seem to be a very well run club with an exceptional scouting network. Consistently get their recruitment right and probably turn in a transfer surplus overall when you consider the sales they have made over the past 5 years or so.

So you’ve not then. Ah well you might be right, we need to look at how they did it.
Can you look into how we go into Administration to write off all our debts without any punishment and have a brand new stadium built with around 50% additional capacity (about 47,500 would be compatible for us)?
At which point we can look for a new billionaire owner to pick us up cheap. That would seem to be the start.

Having a proper international scouting system and using it for starters. How did they get Kante and Mahrez?

https://www.s24su.com/forum/threads/scouting-infrastructure-problems.57166/ This was from 2017 and this issue partially led to Wilder's departure allegedly.
No it didn’t. Wilder didn’t want others involved in the recruitment nevermind someone else entirely running it away from the manager as Leicester did when they signed everyone you go on about. (While ignoring the expensive misfires of course).

Ok so we can't learn anything from our competitors. Football must be a unique industry in that regard, or does this rule only apply to us?

No we just need to find a way to write off anything we’ve spent in the last few seasons, get a stadium upgrade for free and then be available for next to nothing. We get there and we can start to have a real go, like for like.

Great! If Leicester can do it so can we :)

They have had Vardy , we have Burke , Brewster and Mcburnie .

Weren’t Bournemouth supposed to be “the model” until they went to shit?

Also who are we supposed to get mad at if a billionaire doesn’t want to buy the club?

For every Leicester there are 10 other club takeovers that haven’t gone well. The fans of most of the Prem and all the Championship clubs will be sat at home feeling envious. That’s football.

The thing is there are many clubs, with that potential, that Leicester had and we have. Many have had big investment and tried approaches similar to Leicester and differently from Leicester. They are not the model, they are the exception and I think its dangerous to see them as such. We can take things, such as the international scouting, which many clubs have taken on and benefited from, without reaching the peaks Leicester have done. Lets get those basics of a modern football club right, first, then we can have some sort of platform to even think of ' doing a Leicester'

Up until this season other clubs will have been calling us “the model”.

There is no “model”. You need a decent manager who is either very shrewd in the transfer market, a wheelbarrow full of cash or a mix of the two. Same as it ever was.

Should we overspend, build a new stadium and when we can't pay for it file for administration, not have to pay any of our debts and then can't be criticised because we have a new owner? Sounds good.

When ever a team does well...it’s always “think xxxxx”

It wasn’t only last year many were saying “think Sheff Utd” and “why don’t we follow their model”.
Even our own fans were saying Wilder is the Messiah...we should use the same system at all age groups, lay the foundations and plan for the future“

We’ve laid some foundations to build on....
but most fans are saying “rip up the foundations built by Wilder and start afresh”.

It just shows how fickle most football fans are...when theres success the model is brilliant.
One year of struggle and all of a sudden the same model is terrible ann needs ripping up.

Had they gone down under Pearson it would have been what a fuck up
Lets not do that
