I shouldn't really do this as I promised myself to wait until Saturday's game was over........but, this was far too tempting.....

When anyone outside of Sheffield mentions the team they associate with the city, guess who'll they'll be talking about? The other lot will be relegated to the level of afterthought, they won't enter into any serious conversation.......they'll become our version of Notts County.....they'll still be whingeing and moaning, saying the world's unfair, that there's a conspiracy against them.......but good old Chansiri will still expect their fans to dig deep.....they won't know what hit 'em!

Other things that might not be the same *(should we go up):

1) We might not be on Sky as much ......
2) If you renewed your season ticket, like me, thinking that the majority of games will be 3pm Saturday - good luck with that.
3) We will deffo have to change the words of 'We are on the march with Wilders army', because we can no longer be 'going up' and 'staying up' doesn't sound as good - suggestions please.
4) For at least a year we do not have to worry about bottling the play-offs.
5) I will have to miss my last pint at my local WMC on a Saturday to get back for Match of the Day, which means I will no longer have to hopelessly lose at the pub quiz. But this also means my Mrs will complain that 'I am taking away the only thing she has on a Saturday (football ruins everything)'.
6) Gary Neville will scrutinise us on a regular basis.
7) Alan Shearer will scrutinise us on a regular basis.
8) Jamie Carragher will attempt to scrutinise us on a regular basis.
9) Chris Kamara might be back at the Lane.
10) No first round league cup match.

But on a positive note, my daughter was born 1 hour after we went down after playing Wigan all those years ago, so she has literally spent her whole life not knowing what its like to be in the Prem, that alone is worth a win on Saturday. UTB

It's just the beginning it's not the end.
Things will never be the same again.
It's not a secret anymore.
Now we've opened up the door.
Starting tonight and from now on.
We'll never, never be the same again.

I'm already getting angry about parking, 2/3 years ago same spot no problem, now? Never get the same spot , have to park 100 or so yards away, next season? Success eh who wants it.

2. If you weren’t expecting that where have you been for the last twenty years.

3. Win the cup.

5. Iplayer? Record to a hard drive? Get your VHS out of the loft?

6-9. Fuck ‘em.

10. Good. No one wants to go to Hartlepool again.

ill probably be a couple of times one of said idiots decides to sit in my seat ive had for 20 years!

that is horrible the few times ive had it happen to me. because obviously they think they are right otherwise they wouldnt be sat there. but trying to bring up the subject tactfully (& tact is not my strong suit) & without sounded entitled bringing out the season ticket cards & "dont you know who I am" . is hard balance to find

but I guess that the price of success.

1) We might not be on Sky as much ......

Some of the games both home and away will be on Sky.

For those that can`t get to any or many away games like me I am hoping that the Premier League may have sold the rights to show those games to foreign broadcasters.

I am also hoping that maybe their is a website that details which foreign channels are showing these matches.

My final hope is that maybe there are some websites that will stream these games for people to watch

In all seriousness though , if you know where to look , every game in the Premier League has been shown this season , maybe not all in this country, but they have all been broadcast.

Never thought about number 9.Look forward to that. It'l;l be unbelievable.....Jeff.

I will feel a bit sorry for the programme sellers if we are promoted, last time we were in the premiership it was mad how many were sold. Me and my mate started off taking boxes to our spot on a sack barrow which was just inadequate. The club then brought them to us in a van, we were doing 500 each every game at the side of the battery shop the lads across the road were doing more. To say it was hectic was an understatement most get sold in the hour before kick off.

At least I've not heard anyone singing 'we'll never play you again' to the Pigs.

That worked out well last time. Must have been a good 18 months :)

Assume IF we do get promoted then EVERY piece of netting will be removed with capacity going back up up 32,600 again.

All of a sudden the Safety Committee are no longer required.

There's a few things I'm really looking forward to and a some that I'm not really looking forward to at all, if we are promoted of course. And some things that have both positive and negative aspects.

Pros
- Being on Match of the Day.
- Stadium Improvements to meet EPL standards.
- World class players at BDTBL.
- Bragging rights over the pigs and every other Yorkshire team.
- Visits to some of the best stadiums in the world.
- Bramall Lane being literally full every fortnight.
- Seeing players who've really earned this and wouldn't have got the chance anywhere else play in the EPL, including the ones we bring in in summer.
- More punditry and analysis of games.
- Sheffield will be buzzing on match day with the away supporters and increased home support.

Cons
- Everything will take longer on match day, from getting there to queue's at the pub and bar at half time.
- Currently sit in a quiet corner of the Kop where I don't often have to put up with moaners, that could well change..
- We will lose the majority of our games and concede more than we score, something that hasn't been the case for the best part of 8 years, maybe even since last time we were in the prem, minus one or 2 seasons.
- We will undoubtedly be patronised by pundits every week.
- The regular 3pm KO's will become few and far between, meaning the excuse I currently have to out with my mates for most of Saturday will be affected.
- Not as many games, 6 less games in total, 3 less at home.

Of course most of these things could well be the same if we end up coming straight back down.
