Just a note to remind everyone that things will have to be different at BDTBL next season. We will not have the parachute payments so will not have money for either transfers or wages of decent players. McCabes decision to "cash in" on £2 million for BT, and cut his wages from the bill instead of keeping him for half a season, has cost us £60 million.
Players will go its almost inevitable, anyone with any talent will be snapped up by lower premiership teams or those that have just come down and and have cash.
For those who think I am being defeatist, we have been here before, sold Deane to Leeds halfway through a season and missed out on promotion then spent 11 years trying to get promoted again.
History has shown that clubs who dont go back up within the 2 year period have struggled after..
I give you.. Leeds, Millwall, Charlton, Ispwich, Norwich, Southampton, Forest, Wednesday, Palace, I could go on and before anyone throws Wolves at me they have spent quite a while back down there, and Birmingham are in the 2 year time period.
