What's your problem with Mo?

Are they still calling them 'Balti pies'? Because it's very misleading. Balti tends to be more tomato-based and has a higher cumin content. The sauce in 'balti pies' is more tikka masala-like in composition.

This is why McCabe is destroying our club.

I learnt a long time ago that the curry pies are shit , my dog wouldn't even eat one. That's how bad they are.

Baltic pie...curry pie....whatever it is I quite like em!

Better than any pie with a kidney in....now that's the devilled food.....not a smelling pistake

If we hadn't conceded that stupid equaliser against Gillingham we could've gone on to do the same to them, and won 3 or 4 nil. We were better in the first half v Gillingham than we were today, yet were only 1-0 up. I do think Wimbledon were better than Gillingham so it just shows how the odd defensive mistake can dramatically change the result/scoreline.

I thought the early goal made the difference plus making it two before half time, Wimbledon had to throw a bit of caution to wind second half stretching the game and that is food and drink for our midfield when they are on form.

Maybe he can find an Indian investor to supply the pies?

I wasn't worried about signing Hanson because I think he will get on the end of many crosses that go dead. So many times crosses do not fall for us because they are not read properly or our small strikers get outmuscled

The only thing that concerns me is the rest of the team pyschologically feeling they have to hoof it to him

Just keep doing the same things and Hanson will get on the end of crosses

If he wins the ball it will either be an effort at goal or a bit of confusion created for Sharp to sniff out the loose ball

Well....that's to ensure no dumb shit bites into it and burns their little mouths...and then sue the club.

I've never had any complaints about it to be honest.

I must be the only one who wasn't that impressed with Hanson, jumped well for a ball in the first minute, but for much of the first half we were playing like statues with everyone trying to play Hollywood hoofs to Hanson instead of playing football, and like with Clarke earlier in the season that didn't really work. With the only really good bit of football in the entire first half he got in the right position and took his goal well though so credit for that.

Second half we swapped to playing our more normal game of moving the ball around quickly on the ground and Hanson was a passenger for much of it as the team's strengths and his strengths aren't really the same. With more time to get used to how we play he'll hopefully be able to fit in with the passing play better as that's how he got his goal, but we looked much better when Sharp was the most advanced striker and we abandoned the long-ball stuff.

It was definitely only you.

Yes must be just you - Hanson was excellent in every department and will score and make a lot of goals

Sheffield United fans love it when a player puts a shift in. Thought Hanson did exactly that today - whether that be winning headers or chasing down defenders, he looked like he wanted to wear the shirt. He made a couple of mistakes here and there but I can forgive that of almost any player if they're out there for the right reasons. That said it's only one game and we shouldn't get carried away!

That plus the fact that he was constantly being fouled.

I had a meat and potato pie today and it was absolutely shit.

If the pies have chicken in then the Venky's would be a good partner. Indians, very good in the chicken production arena and already successful football club owners ;)

*James Hanson is going to be a Bramall Lane cult figure.

*The scarf that Mrs Presty knitted for my lad is the source of our success this season. Her finishing it coincided with our first win of the season and its been absent at all our home defeats.

Tell her to knit us all lucky scarves :P

1st half was difficult. I thought they played well and did a bit of a job on us. They were undone by 2 bits of quality. Sharp's movement for the first (knill training ground routine?) and the 2nd was just a goal of real quality (league 1 teams aren't going to stop that 99/100).

He took his goal well
He worked his nuts off
He gives us another option. The first goal actually came from him putting pressure on the CB to give away the throw. Without that the ball could easily have been back in our half rather than 20 yards from their goalline
