Vini and Hamza as a midfield 2 don't work (ok not learnt today as me and many others warned about having two defensive midfielders together)

Square pegs/round holes - Wilder keeps doing it... why??? One things clear is Wilder is a good man manager but a very average tactical manager.

Cannon may be a good player or may not.. however one thing that's absolutely clear is he does not suit our style of football whatsoever... Wilder just needs to put his hand up, admit he fucked up and drop him from the starting lineup.

Nothing to do with Cannons ability but he's just not a Sheffield United hard working player

If anything else learned today, put it below 👇

Ridiculously premature comment.

Lots of giddiness surrounding the ‘attacking’ line up today pre match. I was as puzzled as the players looked. There seemed to be no plan whatsoever. Bailed out on individual quality and the opposition lacking so. I don’t see how we can carry on like this but it does seem to be happening…

Cannon will start every game now Wilder needs to justify what he paid for him.
It’s not his fault we create nothing and give him no service.

Whoever you are, you are pathetic.

That's it.

Totally on the manager

Wilder is not for the man for the job keep him until end of season then get rid regardless of division
So we get promoted and sack Wilder, and presumably Knill too - despite the fact thay last time they got us up we stayed up (9th). Imagine what that would do to team morale.

Who would you bring in instead? Allardyce?

Nope but I can tell you now we won’t finish anywhere near 9th if we go up or progress as a club

We have BBD, Cannon, Brewster and Campbell and yet we play a lone striker up top. Baffling?

When did a section of our fans get like this seriously, it's fucking embarrassing, we have won more points than anyone in the league, joint with Leeds. Yes that was one of, if not the worst performance of the season but fuck me, where's this entitled bollox we should just walk over teams, walk the league, sack managers when we're in an automatic spot. Have any of you cunts watched this club for the last 100 years. I honestly don't get it. What are any of you bringing towards supporting the football club. Just fuck off.

You've basically answered your own question there.

Thought Hamza did on, Vini looked a bit rusty still and BBD was a mission…not a mission the rest of the team were on but he seemed intent on taking someone out ( himself probably)

I also learned today we still have quite a few bigots amongst our fan base … ranting and moaning about the corner flags.. ffs …

Good the blokes behind me today.
I'm sure if Cannon had scored, they'd have booed.

From minute 1 all they did was slag the guy off.

"Waste of money"
"Can't run"
"Can't pass"
"Can't shoot"

It was constant

I'd be more harsh on Cannon if he weren't doing exactly what Moore, Campbell, One, and Brewster have all done so many times in that same role: stand central and watch the game go by.

It's obviously playing to instruction, I just don't know what the plan is.

I remember saying back when we had Sharp and Clarke both doing well that, as much as I liked them, we made our strikers look good. We worked good crossing positions and would consistently create chances for our forwards. This season it feels more like "Ignore the striker, give it to a midfielder under pressure and hope they make some magic".

I’m starting to not want to go to games. I shouldn’t feel like this
Me too mate. It's usually a long way from being scintillating, but today was embarrassing. As entertainment it's awful. I drove to the game today so at least I didn't do the "We came out of the pub for this" comment!
We won, but I actually felt sorry for the Pompey fans. It's a bloody long way, their support was great, and but for bad finishing they'd have won with some style.

Get rid now, second is no good . (joint top with no points deduction ;))

Imagine where we could be with a master tactition like Rohl at the helm..

OOH 11th..

When CW first came to the lane he said I want people watching the game not their phones,I want to play exciting attacking football and get people off their backsides, well Chris 12 passes across the back line back to cooper out to defender, pass to midfielder who then switches it to the defender on the other side to repet the whole thing again, is NOT EXCITING, you set the team up,you train the team so it's on You,sort it out ffs or I'm sure the yanks will move you on regardless of which leauge we are in

Peck needs to start every game he's available for.
