I think all sides coming up from the Championship would be looking at us as the benchmark of what can be achieved, especially without breaking the bank.

As already mentioned, Leeds already have a problem to solve if they can't buy or loan White again so they have work to do. I also think that scoring goals might be a problem if they are going to be relying on Bamford as a main striker. Personally I think he's vastly over-rated.

The football they play under Bielsa is very impressive as is the way they press to win it back. They'll make a couple of new additions obviously, probably not the quality I've seen some Leeds fans hope for (Ibrah, Cavani lol) they are supposed to be signing Foyth as White's replacement shortly and Buendia is a main target too, those 2 would make good signings for them.

As for the current crop they need a striker in who can covert (more often than Bamford did) the chances they'll create, just not at the crazy amount they did in the championship, and for me definitely need someone who will fill in for Hernandez and be able to dictate and createto the standard he is capable of as he is a vitial cog in their team, Buendia could be that man though. Defensively they are pretty solid across the back 4/5, for me it's how they cope with the strength, athleticism and raw pace the majority of players in the premiership seem to have especially on the counter if Leeds try to implement their possession play.

Seems most of the comments think Leeds will do well, mid table etc. I think that they need more signings in key areas also. As others have also said, they've lost Ben White and he was huge for them last season, we were able to keep the same back 5, which was essential to our success. They need another forward at least, Bamford not up to it and has too many injury problems. I also think the Championship wasn't as strong last season and for large periods last season it was far from certain that they were going up. They made it in the end and fair play to them, but I'm not so sure they'll do as well as they think they will. Will depend on recruitment. If they don't add well I can see them being in a relegation scrap. Also they'll have few fans in at Elland Road and without many fans Elland Road is no more intimidating than Dean Court or Vicarage Road.

I just feel their high press, high intensity game will be a great asset in the PL.

If they go and do a Fulham or Villa and overhaul their squad, it won't work. If they add to it in the places required, they could be a strong prospect.

I would compare and contrast the games against Arsenal. We looked competitive and won one of them. Leeds ran around a lot but looked hopelessly outclassed. The typical lower league team who are frightened of the big boys.
Leeds will need some quality signings to stay up. I wouldn't worry about em too much.

A backhanded complimen if you ask me “we want to be as good as/better than them blades”. I’m sure i watched them earlier in the season against arsenal in the FA Cup and their closing down style of play caused chaos for about 30 minutes (poor finishing) and there in lies the problem they looked spent and toothless in the Second half, i know its very cliche but will they be able to play at that intensity for 90 minutes every game. Who knows, were bound to find out. Certainly been a bit of a hype job about Leeds coming up, I wonder if the players know its because of how long they have been out of the premier league rather than how good at football they are? Stay humble, it’s when you think your good you have problems.

Leeds are also more than likely going to have to press much more to win the ball back against 50% of the teams in this division, they won’t have many teams sitting off and allowing them to have the ball, which would normally allow them to conserve energy for when they do a benny hill pressing job.

Think we should be careful in our judgement. How many of us know anything about the Leeds players and how good the team were or not last season? I’m sure many of the people commenting haven’t seen more than a handful of games. Just go back a little over 12 months and how many people were writing us off. Now some of us are doing the same to another promoted side. Our hatred of Leeds and all they stand for doesn’t mean that they won’t have a successful season, just as we surprised everyone last season. ( but I still want them to get relegated- just not sure if I want it the Norwich way - bottom all season or the Watford way - sacking managers and relegated on last day)

Probably having more Leeds knowledge than others (my wife supports Leeds) we've watched nearly all the Leeds matches and Bamford is awful. Often just goes missing for minutes of a game. If you think we have problems up front Leeds are in a terrible state. Tyler Robinson shows promise in the way Mousset does for us but they basically have one striker. One thing Leeds have in their favour is 2 or 3 youngsters breaking into the first squad who are really good and promising. They needs new players, or a CW style miracle. Wife says same thing. When Hernandez doesnt play they miss the creativity and like it or not Leeds fans he makes the current team. He is what 35 yrs old now. Whether he can cut it in the PL who knows he is like our Billy Sharp.

Best Leeds match I went to at Elland Road (must have been 10 yrs ago) was when we beat them 3-1 we played them off the park and I had to sit there looking glum when inside I was jumping over the stand with joy !
