.....when I predicted at the start of the season that Barnsley would make the playoffs. Looking good to leapfrog us now. Not that funny any more is it?

Just shows that sacking a manager can and does work.

Not for us it hasn't or doesn't. I'll give you the list since Warnock if it helps you.
That's because we never appoint someone proven in the league we're in. I was screaming for us to get Grayson when he became available, knows the league inside out and is soon to be on his 4th promotion in this league.

Lee Johnson is still in the honeymoon period , but hats off to him. They say with statistics you know how good your manager is after 10 games . Barnsley have Preston , Bradford and the Blades to play. Difference is they seem to be playing with a swagger and confidence . Surprising what a new face and training methods do.

More worried about us , as 3 points for a win can either propel you upwards or a draw / loss can send you backwards .

We do need to stick with Clough , and i still think we will do it , although again disappointed today . The CH situation is becoming a farce and a problem since preseason and the departure of Harry.

If Harry was still here would we be in the automatics .

A handful of us were berated for the mere suggestion our squad was nowhere near good enough for top two. Now, I am never one to gloat, but for all the shit I got at the start of the season if like to say a big 'I told you so' to all those who slated me for being 'clueless'. I look forward to next September, when we have an equally average squad but 90% on here delude themselves into thinking we have the best squad in the league.

blader , hindsight is a great thing , in all things life . Did Clough underestimate the league . At the end of the day , we fans perhaps knew more about it than he did , as you don't get anywhere without a commanding CH and CF . That is the basic for sunday football to premiership .

Total type football is great , but total type football is not for this league and 91 football managers know it.

Anyone got a link to a dingles forum as Patrick would like to move teams?

What has something that happened years and years ago got to do with anything today?
Have we the same players and manager as X, Y Z years ago?
Or will today be a wholly different set of circumstances.
I really don't understand the viewpoint that it rained on Friday 5 ago so it will rain again this Friday.

I remember Jack Charlton saying in the late 1970s that to get out of the 3rd division you need a commanding CH and CF. He got Pickering and McCulloch. I thought Steve Davies looked not bad last week, did he play well today?

So based on this sage wisdom as opposed to my previous proof and historical fact we should go with ?

How did Villa go on today?
How did QPR go on today?

How have Derby done without Clough?

Lets try again quoting History in football counts for absolutely FA.

And that will happen whether promoted or not.

Where is the total football from Clough? More like sideways backwards get rid quick, cross from halfway line. It is just rubbish.

Silent , i thought Steve Davies played well yesterday and has added what we have been missing all season. I know Clough seems to want a player and waits until he is available , as with Davies , but we plug one hole , and another appears.

The CH and CF , never mind what anybody says , is costing us , with one still not resolved and the other just sorted.

Jack Charlton was right , and the game hasn't changed that much. Keep it simple and not put square pegs in round holes. We have a tendency to make good players look bad or way below average . Someone at the club is going to have to pay for it , if success is zero this season , as we help to pay for under performing players , team tactics , through the turnstiles.

I am not knocking or being disrespectful to teams in league 1 , but if the Crawley , Fleetwood , Scunny etc can tactically work us out , and we cannot overcome this , or not have the common sense to break them down , then something is drastically wrong .

We either have the wrong manager , players or sadly both.

Still a long way to go , but if the players , have the same mind set ,or dwindling confidence as the fans , will we make it.

Surely the point about Barnsley and Peterborough is a new found confidence under new management. Since we have a similar problem I suggest we do the same. With Clough we rust.

Its only the after Weir syndrom at Barnsley. We played well after we got rid of him too.
