As Muttley (Dick Dastardly's dog not the poster on here) and Eternal used to say... "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH, YEAH..!"
huge no to the black shoulder patch and hooped socks, otherwise a decent effort, that diagonal stripe away is lovely

Apols if I'm oot der loop, but have we deffo got USG next season?

I can't imagine so. Prince said we could've got a much better shirt deal than we did, and I think USG were involved in some dodgy dealings of sort if memory serves correctly.

They've hardly been enthusiastic champions of the club. I saw a post on their Instagram account a few weeks ago for a competition to win 'a signed Sheffield football or shirt'...

Are we 100% still with Adidas? Could have sworn i read that this years shirt was the last in the deal...?

Looks like next season is when the current deal ends. There was a poll sent out by the club a few months ago asking how you rated adidas and which manufacturers would you like to see make the kit in the future.

Deals of that length seem to be rare for the club these days, but you could be right.

John Holland was the last sponsor I recall lasting longer than one year. Alpharooms, Teletext Holidays, Ramsdens Currency and now USG all just in Wilder's reign.

Unfortunately it looks like they will be on the kits for another 2 seasons which is a shame now our status in the footballing world has risen so will the interest from potential sponsors

We have a deal with USG for next year unless the Prince breaks it, and can find better than £10m+ for the season which I think he'd struggle with to be honest. That's great money for a newly promoted team, think it's like the 8th most valuable deal in the league.

Think he'll stick with USG on the front to be honest, but maybe he'll get an sleeve sponsor.

Hm, that is a shame. Might be a break clause in the deal?

Be nice to have a sponsor with a more aesthetically pleasing logo but I'm not overly fussed.

I suppose it's better than a gambling company nobody has ever heard of. Or an energy drink that doesn't exist.

Agree with you wholeheartedly about the black shoulder patch. Unfortunately that's just the godawful type of thing that kit designers like to put on kits these days. Long gone are the days of traditional kits I'm afraid. Makes it easy to tweak next year's design into something similar but not quite the same. Total Ripoffsvile, Arizona.

I think the last few kits have been decent but I think a more simple design wouldn't hurt. Often, less is more with kits.

Alpharooms would have been on the shirts for 2017/18 but they were taken over by the group behind Teletext Holidays, hence the change in shirt sponsor. Same situation for HFS Loans and Capital One between 2005/06 and 2006/07.

I think the USG logo looks ace on our shirt. When you compare to the likes of HFS, Alpharooms, Capital one, and lots of other shyte. Don't get me wrong, my preference would be NO sponsors names across the shirt. The USG one is probably my 2nd favourite after the Wards ones.

it just reminds me of the barf inducing Southampton kit this year, i think that was worst than most lower league kits, embarrassing for an epl side

That USG logo is awful. Have you tried looking at it with your eyes open? :)

:D
Am I getting it wrong? It is the one that looks like a double Union jack, isn't it? If so, what could possibly be awful about something that represents our great nation?
and Yes, I know they are an Aussie company.
Only problem I have with it, is it could be a bit bigger

Well that's opening a mahoosive can of worms, especially on here. You don't, by any chance, have a statue of your good self anywhere, do you? Just asking for a lefty, marxist friend... ;)

Nowt wrong the current USG logo - looks fine to me. In your horror list you forgot DeSun 🤮

I wasn't keen on the Union Jack just because of the inevitable Brexit football digs, but now we've expanded our transfer net that doesn't really apply so I don't really care.

Also have to give USG major props for altering their logo for us. If we'd had their actual logo before they were on the shirt it would have been awful, as it is, it's quite nice.

Like Ramsdens or Teletext, or maybe even Midas??
