These are them - New Kits 20/21 - 'leak'

Over the last few years I've started to buy the shirts ( both home and away ) I like them for the gym or running as in don't live in Sheffield ,I usually like them and only really judge them on how well we've played in them or if they are really horrendous ( have to go back a long way ) so I'm.absolutely gob smacked at the fussiness at the start of every season about the subtle differences between one years kit and the next

They are just football shirts not Versace evening wear ,my missus doesn't go into this much microscopic detail when she's out shopping and boring me shitless about which blouse goes better with her handbag

“It will give Wednesday fans ammunition”

Couldn’t give a shiny shite.

“Pigs” is our short hand for them. The fact they lacked the originality to coin their own term and recycled ours instead doesn’t mean we need to be resigned to a life time of mutual pig denial.

As per you copied us again.

As per you copied us again.

Least we're not copying your performances on the pitch or how to run a football club.

I'm not interested in shite that happened way before we were all born. There's arguments from both sides as to wear "pigs" came from. We both call it each other and have done for my life's entirety.

All I care about is stuff that happens during my time. My dad will often tell me how good Woodward and Currie were, they'll never make it into one of my all time XI's... because it was before my time so I can't comment on it.

Well, you're way, way ahead of us in the match-fixing stakes, the safety certificate-free dangerous shithole stakes, and the forthcoming EFL FFP punishment stakes too. We've not copied you in any of those areas.

Careful, mate. He'll typically respond with the usual pig default responses of 'well, you employed Ched', or 'Saudi human rights'.

It must be purgatory being a Wednesdayite at the moment.

They can only clutch at straws, trot out that “older bigger better” bollocks, harp on about taking 3,000 to QPR and say that all the Premier League clubs want them back in it, because reasons and all their Man City mates love them.

Like the man who’s had a good hard kick in the balls, and while tears run down his face and piss trickles down his legs tries to tell everyone it didn’t hurt, and nobody is fooled.

That's bollocks from the club. Most Blades on here and elsewhere expressed hatred for the shirt and you never saw many being worn on matchdays. Unless folk bought them to clean their windows with or something...?

He wasn't been patronising with me, not that you said he was, but I was surprised when he said that. I wonder if the club cares much on what he fans think on shirts, I'd like season ticket holders, I'm not one I must say, to be able to have an input, possibly even a vote on 6 options etc. I think we did this once in about 1994, but I hope the diamond kit wasn't the result! I wore that yesterday ironically, sat at home watching the Burnely game!

It's awful, IMO.

I'd much prefer a simple red and white striped shirt, minimal fuss, little bit of black strip. Stripes on the front, back and sleeves. It isn't difficult.

As has been said, I'd like us to go to Umbro next, they keep it traditional, all of their kits are set on club's basic templates and look the part. We'd been longing for an Adidas or Nike for years, and they haven't really hit the mark.

Don't mind it tbh - bit too much white across top. Would have been better if lower sleeves were red (or even better, striped sleeves). Had far worse.

I think it’s redeemable if it’s stripes on the back. Even if not it’s not disastrous, though I think it’s a step down from this season’s reasonable kit.

That's it for me, mate - too much white across the the top. It looks awful. Chuck that together with red socks, and we're Southampton. Drop the white across the top, replace it with continued stripes and it's oreyt.

Otherwise, we're this:

It's got red and white stripes on it. It's fine. Nothing more, nothing less.

The separation of the shoulders and sleeves from the stripes reminds me a bit of the VisitMalta shirt from 2008, only the top part is white instead of red. It's not a good shirt to be reminded of.

I'll not be scrambling to buy it.

Somebody has to look like Southampton for the season. Southampton themselves aren't doing too well in that department.

I think we should permanently adopt the thin black lines between the red and white stripes - always looks more "Bladey" to me when we have that design feature (and sets us apart from southampton, stoke, sunderland, brentford etc.)

Agreed, I think it's a step down either way, though. White back and they're taking the piss.

Not sure I’m wholly keen on the shade of red too, though may be the filter on the photo – looks more like the 1981-83 more orangey shade that I have on the Shoreham St replica than the more standard red of the modern era.

This is the next shirt if you ask me.

Ah they're doing that thing they do, when they occasionally pretend that they're a bit sashy. They did that in L1 a few years ago:

Fine for a third kit, but the red home kit with the white sash looks dog shit.

It's like a groundsman has run over a Barnsley shirt with the line painting machine.
