Sorry but I disagree.

I am not sure that I have ever seen Sharp this fit, or fired up, and that includes the two promotion seasons.

When your best players are on fire, you play them and hope that it inspires the fringe players to work harder.

If we get to a stage where autos are definitely out of the question, and the only thing up for grabs is say the difference between finishing 3rd or 4th, then I would rest him and keep him fresh for the play offs, but not before.

Over the next few weeks Hecky needs to get at least one of Illiman, Jebbo or McB firing as a realistic alternative to rest & rotate or pose a threat off the bench to turn a vital game in the last 30 mins etc.

He's playing well, fired up, seems fit, and wants to play. Mcburnie is shite. Ndiaye is shite more times than he is good. And to be honest, I haven't really seen anything from Jebbison that suggests he's going to make it at this level. So Sharp has to play while he's fit.....

Sharp has to start every game unless he's injured. Keep the same starting 11 when possible. Replace them when they tire. You need your best players out there and hope they do the business before they tire out. We can't afford to drop players now. Only 11 games to go.

At the end of the day, it's more likely than not we'll finish in the playoffs. The aim has to be having our best XI on the pitch for those (hopefully) 3 play off games.

If 2nd suddenly looms up as more than an outside opportunity, the focus changes, but ultimately there's no point pushing Bill to 100% over the next 2 months, and him being knackered in May, or injured for a trip to Wembley.

In the immediate term though, I agree, I'd start Bill on Saturday.

Normally I would recommend caution, and rest him. This situation will be taxing Hecky. Simple solution is to start Billy, with Jebbo and Ndiaye on the bench.

I can’t see that happening because Hecky has always spoken highly of McBurnie, and the need to give him game time?
