A bit harsh I know but it seems to me that there is only one leader on the pitch at present, and we are becoming Leon and the led. He’s all over the pitch for 90 minutes, keeps digging us out when we’re behind and never tires. Unfortunately, the led have let him down rather of late.
A few personal observations - Tufty is more Klopp or Pep than José, but unfortunately we are not Citeh or Liverpool!
Tufty’s tactics have Bash running himself into the ground, but a bit like a headless chicken at times. Similarly JOC who, for example, dived in when they got the first rather than just standing in front of the guy.
I can see why Tufty likes Stearman rather than Jake - he is more of a ball player - but I think 3 marauding CB’s is probably one too many even for us. To see our central CB on the left wing by the goal line and staying there is taking things to extremes.
I agree that Brooks should have been on for Billy rather than Duff - Billy was far more tired and Duff was having a great game.
Real positive is the improvement in Lundstram in the last 2 games - gone are the failed Hollywood passes and he now looks really solid - bloody good job for the next 3 games without Flecky!!
Overall, though, this is what got us here, but the further we go the more we will get punished for it - our record against top third teams is very poor for a reason.
Exciting times though - a lot of years since I have literally been shaking at the end of games, but it has been a regular occurrence in the last 2 months!
