best possible outcome . win next 11 be promoted on march 25th
most likely IMHO after BRADFORD at home

I think we will beat Bolton and Scunny.

Posh away will be tough as always, as will Rochdale.

But we have the players, we have the manager, we have the fans. We just need the belief. We are more than capable of winning every single one of those games. We won't obviously, but winning at least 8 is well on for me. That in itself is 84 points. And I reckon 88 will be enough with Scunny as well as Bolton hitting a dip in form.

I hope you are right... My birthday and good timing as regards our bambino.
i think win 9 and draw 3 will be enough 90 points should be enough this season to finish in top 2 and plenty in with a shout of play offs so gonna take points off each other

Please not the bradford game.... I go on me jollies that day

well a lot can change between now and the end of the season, but winning today was the only result we could get. Wimbledon are a poor side, much tougher tests to come.

But after 6 long hard years in this dogshat div, to be this close and top is brilliant. I will take 2nd place promotion, but surely we can win this frigging league?!!

UTB

Draws against Bolton and sunny will be like defeats for them now more for the points they don't get than the 1 we do

STOP IT!!! It's too early for this shit for gods sake. Lets win the next game and then think about the next one.

All this x points might do it shit is meaningless at the moment. If we can keep winning the next game we will slowly get closer to the target

Just whatever happens, no-one is allowed to reinstate that sodding magic number thread!

Another 9 wins will be more than enough. 11 more to win the league.

107 points will be enough to to win the league. Probably less. Maybe more.

91 points will be enough to finish 2nd.

Any less than 87 and we'll finish 3rd.

Between 88-107 would be ideal but 108 might be too many and could see us finishing 0th.

Scunthorpe
Bolton
Rochdale

Come through these three without dropping points (as well as beating everyone before we get to them games) and we will be very very close.

We are more than good enough to not only win the games needed but to steamroller the team's around us

We just need to avoid the inexplicable off days like Walsall and Fleetwood and even Gillingham

I'm refusing to get excited, but we had the dreaded "Wembley" convo in one of the boozers yesterday..... "I'll never go back there....but i know on that day they'll fucking do it and I won't be there to see it.....I'll have to go again.... be nice to go up that way wouldn't it"

Closely followed by....Naaaaa fuck off idiot, got to be autos or were fucked, were cursed and you know it...

Then, will you go though, if it comes to it, be honest, yeah I'll fuckin have to won't I, like you said...

One game at a time...like chrissy says.. (got to be auto though, hasn't it:p)

No it's not. We're in February now. There's really not that long to go. It's time to look forward and time to get some belief behind us.

Each game as it comes, yes. Too early to start thinking about promotion? Not at all.

Imagine going there the day after the grunters have just sealed promotion to the cash cow of the premier league
No pressure lads !

Out of those fixtures I'd love us to get promoted against Bradford. They'll bring a few and with the possibility of promotion it'd be no doubt a sell out and the atmospheres would be electric.

Its how I see it panning out

with Hanson getting the winner

and on the view from bradford that night

see we shouldnt have let him go there his 15 goals sealed it for them

Very cleverly quoted only half my post there Tom. My post was clearly aimed at the "11 wins and we're up" comment in the OP.
The fact is we might need to win 14 or as few as 7, which quite frankly is meaningless as SteveBlade has ably demonstrated above.

We an think and discuss anything but trying guess how many games we need to win and how points Scunny, Fleetwood and Bolton could end up on is just daft IMO

Get to the final 10 games and you can just about see the wood for the trees

I have seen the future, our last game of the season, not only at home but at home to Chesterfield, it's a full house, pitch invasions, speeches after the match & one ex striker wondering where it all went wrong for him.
