4 defeats - Donny, Tranmere, Brentford and us
1 draw - Swindon
1 win - Bournemouth

Jesus this is a strange/ shite league.
I think that's the most frustrating thing Swiss.
We don't seem able to ever capitalise on losses from teams around us.

Good thing is we haven't lost ground on the leaders. Bad thing is we could have gained ground

It is indeed, its been the same for years. We have no bottle!

Perhaps it will be the kick start we need...

stannyblade you don't think that 8 points is too large a gap? Normally I would say it was, but this season, anything could happen

Donny must be kicking themselves, losing 0-3 to Kevin Blackwell!

It wasn't for the other lot last year. But yes I do think its gone this season. I am firmly in the Wilson out camp now

One way to look at it as the others didn't take advantage of our fuck up as we played before them.

Its a shockingly bad league, with crap teams over achieving.
A leading goalscorer is all you need to get out of this bobar division, and we aint got one.

As I said in another thread - there is time to turn it around:
Players have to put in a shift for 90 mins not the last 30mins
Wilson has to ditch Porter, Cresswell, Doyle and play the youngsters plus Robson and Forte
McCabe has to sanction a couple of decent loan players
Coaching staff have to start earning their corn
Players have to show more bottle
We don't want them coming out with statements that they are the best team in the division, we're a big club b*****cks, we've some fantastic players blah, blah - come out and show us what you can do!
Wilson has to be brave and go for the jugular - none of this negative sh!te

Then and only then we may have a glimmer of hope!

17 games left in a shockingly bad division.

Keep Wilson - season is gone.

Get rid - we'd have every chance.

Unfortunately Wilson is going nowhere

Time to prove himself !

Personally, I don't think he is capable - he is weak, negative and unconvincing and perhaps the players see this as an easy ride for a barrowload of money every week! but we are saddled with him!
If he can turn it round I would be the first to eat Humble Pie - but, realistically I don't think he has got it in him!

Danny Wilson is incapable of overseeing the changes needed for this team to perform in my opinion, however I have calmed down a little. I do want Wilson out, however he has one last chance to win me over on Tuesday. If I see the same team come through on my phone however, I might not make my seat.

Good post Fiery, but deep down I think you know its too late and only a fresh start with a new manager and backroom staff will bring about the required change in our fortunes. Hanging on to Wilson and scraping out a few results will only delay the inevitable, its time for change and most have now accepted this.

Yes, you're right Chipsy but for a guy that is always accused of being negative I am trying to look for any positive to try and save the season.
At this time I would ditch Wilson, he is just mirroring what has happened before in his managerial career at Swindon, Hartlepool, MK, Bristol City - he obviously has not got the edge to cut it!
Thought so when he was appointed - he is a weak character, unable to think out of the box, lacks any motivational skills whatsoever but sucks up to his mate McCabe (and probably paid very well too!)
If you look at other clubs Hudders, Wendy last year Barnsley, Ipswich this year have all benefitted from a change at the helm - unfortunately we're saddled with McCabe and Wilson we would be better off with the Chuckle Brothers!!!

I have absolutely no confidence in McCabe that we would get a decent managerial replacement for Wilson, if he were to go.

We'd get the "chicken in a basket" option......

Agree, there is no obvious candidate out there and even if there was McCabe wouldn't appoint him. Also financially we probably can't afford to pay DW off. Tuesday evening is a huge game, still all to play for.

I believe Phil parkinson was nailed on when Wilson was put in charge ,but for a last minute change of mind ( cost me a packet) ,he hasnt done bad ,but I do think Danny will take us up this season.

We are dropping points by small margins ,if Macdonald had got a pen and there man had been sent off ,as he should imo ,we would probably have beaten them ,we are suffering a blip in our season which we could get through if 3 or 4 were off form but its 7 or 8 ,it just needs one break and a good win and the confidnce will return.
There is nothing to beat and we have the best squad ,yesterdays results show how brittle all the teams can be, replacing the manager may work but it may not ,and we cant keep swapping managers ,history prooves this doesnt work. Trouble is every bad performance or mistake is jumped on with hysteria by some elements of a clubs support and it quickly builds up momentum to ridiculous levels ,now we want the manager sacked ,the board out , the owner lynching and fellow supporters made to go shopping. We all need to calm down and get behind the lads on Tuesday ,a big win will make us all feel a lot better.

Unlike the majority I happen to think Wilson is now on the verge and another poor performance Tuesday could well see him on his way. But like yourself LM I worry greatly about McCabe's ability to appoint the right successor. There are certainly men out there who, given a fair crack of the whip, would relatively quickly turn the club around, Adkins being the obvious one. Not sure though that McCabe has the ambition to look beyond the cheap option once again and put Morgan in charge until the end of the season. It is such a poor division that to miss out on promotion this time round is unacceptable but this will happen unless the chairman is prepared appoint a manager with the ability to reunite all factions of the club and get us once again moving in the right direction. Deep down I'm not sure he has anything other than his own interests at heart and therein lies the real problem.

Do you think DW has been given a fair crack of the whip?

Wouldn't you agree that the success of his product is in McCabe's interests?

a big win is sticking a plaster on what the problem if though Sitwell. Let's just say for a miracle we end up getting promoted most of this team will either not be here next year or not good enough for the next division. What is the point in having a team of over 30's on the decline of their career and putting your promotion hopes on it? So in the summer we will then have to rebuild the team and most likely just be in the mire next season. If you all want to blindly follow this football ethos you can, but don't expect everyone to follow blindly.

Some people are just desperate for promotion because of the pigs across the city. There will be no money for improvements even if we go up. We have to rebuild the club the right way and have a manager with the cajones to commit to this.

We are currently committing football suicide in my opinion and just like the film Leaving Las Vegas, it actually has turned out not to be as much fun as we thought it might be.

Most of the team will not be here no matter who is in charge ,thats football ,who are all these over 30's ? Doyle is the only permanent one ,every team has experienced pros ,you need them ,I personally think the younger players are at least as poor at the moment.
So what if Grayson takes over or Adkins and we dont go up ,or we struggle next season ,what then ? Instead of sacking everyone and his dog why not work through it ,much more cost effective and probably more succesfull.

Tuesday night will define our season.

'There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries."

Will Shakespeare was clearly a Blade.

Do you think DW has been given a fair crack of the whip?

Wouldn't you agree that the success of his product is in McCabe's interests?

1) Yes. He should have got us up last season with the resources he had to hand. When the chips are down he hasn't got what it takes.

2) Of course its in his best interests for us to be successful but he won't take responsibility for all the cock ups he's made and has now decided he's not prepared to speculate to accumulate.

Theres the Blackman money that wasnt spent
