I wouldn't doubt that expecting an immediate return to the PL with a well known manager at the helm would increase his stock but the pesky facts show that he was succesful there before then. In any event he discarded that idea unless of course Micky Adams is a highly popular figure over there.

Some good points mate but I unless you know more than the rest of us, such as having a contact within the club then I'll just put a lot of it down to guesswork. Like saying McCabe wants out for the last 10 years. Maybe he does but he's not siad hat publictly, as far as I'm aware but he has said he wanted additional investment. He's got that now and according to rumours the Prince WAS willing to invest this January but McCabe wasn't. I'm sick of speculating though, all we do know is that this squad isn't good enough and we'll have to wait until the summer. This season is a right off now we may as well start to introduce DCL more into the squad.

I agree. like we all do, that Hammond doesn't bring much to the team. Maybe he won't sign for next season, who knows. If he does, he'll have to take a big pay cut. In fairness to Hammond he doesn't compliment Basham, we all know they're both too similar. I do blame Adkins there because we needed pace and drive and Hammond offers less of that than Basham.

Today was a real low point for us, we were totally outclassed. This season is just a waste now, there is now way we will get in the top 6 unless we bring in two quality loan players, and I can't see that happening.

I'd say he's been looking to sell for five or six years, not ten, but he seems to want to recover all his losses. He's got no chance IMO. Why would he expect a new buyer to fork out for his many mistakes.

I'm also right about business being done in China before that. But that doesn't seem to count.

I've already acknowledged Robson wasn't only appointed because of his managerial prowess. He didn't carry on with that though with successive appointments did he.

One minute the clubs a shitty mess and the next it's name is enabling McCabe to increase his millions simply using the clubs brand rather than a former England manager ( or a second rate ex goalkeeper)

Blades Leisure Ltd own SUFC. SU Ltd owns 50% of BL. McCabe and Scarbough are majority shareholders in SU Ltd.

We've since lost Murphy and Maguire, but Adkins has made little effort to address the glaring inadequacies of the back four and brought in Martin Woolford?
Let's not forget we are in Division 3, the squad, although not world beaters, should be more than good enough for this level, with the right leadership. The board get slated for the lack of backing in the JTW but having seen Adkins dealings in the transfer market this far, I wouldn't have given him a penny in January either.

The Prince has a company registered in the West Indies that owns the other 50%. Individuals never directly own clubs, they set up companies and finance through them.

This is the problem. I can't see him getting the price he wants to sell the club and the real estate.

He may well be looking at other investments partners but I don't know how that would work with 3 masters.

We need someone with deep pockets, what money the Prince had has been frittered away.

Yeah its a good post - lots in there I agree with. The problems mostly stem from the top (i.e. McCabe a massive failure and wont or cant move on due to his stranglehold on the club). While he is still in charge, I cant really see anything changing. Adkins also hasnt helped himself with players being played out of position, some awful past-it signing such as Woolford, Hammond, making McEverley captain (and undroppable) etc, but we need to stick with a manager now - and really back him. Which clearly hasnt happened in the transfer market over January.

I agree that Baxter is a moron and needs to grow up, and stop getting into trouble, but I dont agree that he doesnt look interested. He always wants the ball, and tries to make something happen - it was him that shouted at the other static players yesterday to make a run for him (so he could play a pass). Produced the only real quality moment of the game with the lob - which was narrowly wide.

The China company didn't do any business while Robson was here, nor the year after.

It wasn't Robson's links, Robson was used as the Ex England manager as a marketing tool if that's what you want to call it.
