Hi, dont wanna be one of them people who create a thread on their first post, but Iv got a lot to get off my chest. So firstly, hello to everyone. I enjoy to chew the fat with you all and pick the bones out of the mess we currently find ourselves in.

Mess. We are in one big mess, Kevin Mccabe has been wanting out of this club for 10 years, he has took a backseat and tried to push every man and his dog into the position of clubs spokesperson. So he can get out, his heart went along time ago. There is just no one alive who would be able to meet the valuation he sets. He was charmed by 'a prince' coming into town with probable entourage, maybe googled him and seen his family worth, and due to a mix of desperation to get out of the position and an actual belief of 'game changing investment' agreed to give away his share for a quid. As quick as the investment came in, the prince went out. I can't remember any amount of time that the Prince was actually present at our club, he was always away on some kind of business, homeland duty and now, I can't remember the last time he attended a game, Hull in the FA cup? How can anyone expect him to put any money into something that he hasn't had no involvement with for 18 month plus. In his absence though, he did send his right hand man.

His right hand man, Mr Phipps. Were do I start with Mr Phipps. Im not sure what his job description is but its something along the lines of 'being a scapegoat for the fans to target when shit hits the fan so I can get away with murder' part of me feels for this bloke because he's in a lose lose position, but part of me wants to look at his wageslip and compare it to mine and I will probably feel a little less lenient with him. My main gripe with the bloke is I cannot stand a bloke who has been involved with the sport for 3 years lecturing fans of 50 plus years how the game works. I hate how Americanised his interviews sound, he is so out of touch with the game its untrue, he's out of his depth.

Now onto the gaffer, no one was as optimistic about NA than me, he was the biggest coup in my lifetime for this club, I still rate the guy but alarm bells are ringing. First one is the lack of instinct to know that Hammond and Basham will never ever work in CM. Both do the same job, no one has any gusto going forward. Second thought in my mind, Matty Done would have looked at todays fixture and thought 'I'm having some of that' coming off scoring 2 goals in 45 minutes against them a few weeks ago, its obvious he needed to start today, instead he went with Sammon. Third and most important to me, is his lack of balls to tell the powers that be that this squad needed investment, he wasn't bullish enough with the board and it will be his downfall. Cos when push comes to the shove, this set of wankers in the boardroom will stab him in the back as soon as the season tickets don't hit the required targets in a few weeks.

Lastly onto the players. In my line of work I have it drummed into me that people struggle through 2 reasons, 1 is capability and 1 is heart and passion. The first lot is the capability lot, I feel these few have the heart for the club but not the ability, George Long, Collins, Mcev, Woolford. Id rather have these lot than the next lot, just cause they actually care, you can tell that. The next lot are the people who have the ability, never in doubt these lot are capable of great things but would rather spend time in nightclubs or are looking for other clubs/options. So we have Jose Baxter, Jose should be playing in the premiership, if he had a brain he would in he would be a superstar. But he hasn't so he spends his time in nightclubs, kicking pint pots at girls, taking class A drugs. He's been given 4-5 chances now, and doesn't seem interested in repaying the favour. Seriously pay him up. or just pay him to sit at home, the guy has nothing to offer this club. Rather give that position to Scougall, Flynn etc, Just not him. My next pick out of the lack of heart list is Hammond. If I had a quid for everytime he missed a tackle through lazyness I would be a millionaire, send him back.

We are on our knees, We need a CB to replace Harry Maguire. We need a CM to partner Basham, We need winger to replace Murphy and we need someone to back up Sharp. We need a chairman that cares and someone in the club with knowledge about football.

We are in this league for a long time.

I wish McCabe did want out. I wish he'd put us on the market, but for me he clearly needs to be a part of the club for whatever reason. His business interests rely on us largely.

its worth more to him as 'on paper' money than actual money

Obviously helps him in securing new property deals, if you own a football club, gives you a bit of credibility and stability. I heard that he has secured a £120m deal with a chinese property developer, must help been chairman of the blades.

He does want out and we are on the market, believe me.

hes messed up and he knows it, before he was giving away the majority of the business at his price, which he thought he was building the prince into, that fell through and now he has to graft his balls off to sell 50% of the business. Which is why he is unwilling to pour money into transfers nor sell on the cheap.

In short, we are fucked.

He has a price that is too high for a League One club, that is the unfortunate truth.

The argument over Chengdu was that he needed it to enhance his property business. Now it seems we are a big enough draw anyway.

Deano on RS tonight reckoned the football club was keeping the Scarborough Group afloat. FFS.

He's been involved in China for years.

I can't disagree with a single word of that, but the problem is now do we improve things, but it is the people in charge that are stopping us from improving

The simple truth as well. Getting the Prince on board may have saved him another fifteen million or so keeping us afloat but any prospective buyer now has two parties to deal with in buying the football club and McCabe solely for the ground and property assets.

You really think Baxter could be a superstar in the premiership ? wow. I don't watch a lot of premiership but I watched an hour of Leicester-man city today. The only way Baxter could be anywhere near Mahrez or Silva is in the queue at KFC.

If Jose Baxter was professional and in shape, he would without a doubt be a top class player. He's majestic and should be the player I pay my ST money to enjoy, but I just end up spending the full 90 minutes kicking the seat of the poor bugger sat in front of me, he's so frustrating, will do something majestic and beautiful then 10 seconds will do something lazy, lethargic and heartless. Combine that with the stories of his exploits down town and his drugs ban. He deserves what Im sure he will end up with in 2-3 years

I watched a fat scouse druggie stroll round taking the piss for 60 minutes. If he could be a Premiership superstar then I could be prime minister. He was fucking embarrassingly poor earlier and as soon as we fuck off the fat druggie the better

so would you argue that Chengdu Blades was never an attempt to gain fans in China but an attempt to get contacts for Scarborough property group?

The Chengdu deal was to make him more money. He already had the contacts. He'd done some big deals there. Selling a few football shirts in China wouldn't have done us much good without a PL presence.
Similarly Fradi and the land around the stadium .

KM's entire football investment abroad is almost identical to his property investment abroad. Hungary, China, Australia, Brazil

100% He's using the SUFC brand to build trust in his own brand, who is gonna trust a company named after a scruffy town like Scarborough

What was the last majestic thing you saw him do ? We actively seek out anything good he does and then exaggerate it many fold to justify the twats next 10 inept performances in our shirt. He is taking the mick out of us ,Im not too interested in his off field activities but the lazy bastard has earned roughly three quarters of a million pounds from Sheffield United in 3 years for what ? Fuck all that's what , a lucky pass once in every 3 games and the odd penalty ,why do people defend him ?

A declining third division football club will build trust abroad? Do you think the deal with China you mentioned is due to his property expertise or his failure in football?

The doors into China were opened by parading the ex England captain around.

Pity it didn't matter that he had no fucking clue how to manage a team.

if his company was that much of a burden on his empire would he put it in the most prominent position on his site

Scarborough had been doing business in China for some time. Before the PL season in fact. I wouldn't doubt that expecting an immediate return to the PL with a well known manager at the helm would increase his stock but the pesky facts show that he was succesful there before then. In any event he discarded that idea unless of course Micky Adams is a highly popular figure over there.

Robson started the rot and McCabes had no idea to stop it since, without a doubt.?

I never said it was a burden. You were saying it was the jewel in his crown.

It's hardly "prominent" in relation to the rest of the website though is it?

McCabe is even using the prince to build trust with potential clients. Also Kevin doesn't own 50% in SUFC, Scarborough group hold 50% in us, way to pass that burden

Some good points mate but I unless you know more than the rest of us, such as having a contact within the club then I'll just put a lot of it down to guesswork. Like saying McCabe wants out for the last 10 years. Maybe he does but he's not siad hat publictly, as far as I'm aware but he has said he wanted additional investment. He's got that now and according to rumours the Prince WAS willing to invest this January but McCabe wasn't. I'm sick of speculating though, all we do know is that this squad isn't good enough and we'll have to wait until the summer. This season is a right off now we may as well start to introduce DCL more into the squad.

I agree. like we all do, that Hammond doesn't bring much to the team. Maybe he won't sign for next season, who knows. If he does, he'll have to take a big pay cut. In fairness to Hammond he doesn't compliment Basham, we all know they're both too similar. I do blame Adkins there because we needed pace and drive and Hammond offers less of that than Basham.

Today was a real low point for us, we were totally outclassed. This season is just a waste now, there is now way we will get in the top 6 unless we bring in two quality loan players, and I can't see that happening.
