I think it’s over in terms of staying up if this squad avoids relegation I’ll be flabbergasted

we are gone

now is about setting us up for next season so the relegation hangover doesn’t turn us into a Sunderland? Can you imagine going over 12 months plus without a single win? People are dreaming if they think we’ll suddenly magically start winning next season

Agree plan for next season make this season as dignified as possible

This season's done but I'd like to do what Norwich did last season.. they carried on attacking and despite their poor defence they still 'tried' to outscore opposition. Yes they got relegated but accepted it early on.. now look at them in the Championship. They're top because they carried forward their positive play/thinking.

Despite the dreadful start, we’re only six points away from 17th.

But something needs to be done now.

Sadly, it would take something miraculous now. The body language is appalling. I cannot see more than 3 or 4 points all season and that is being kind. We are abject. Sorry to say it. Breaks my heart but there is nothing that makes me think we can turn this around.

Given our continuing series of injuries, senior players not performing, it has long been a battle for 17th. With confidence so low I am not sure what the fix is but will not give up until it is done - hoping the players can do the same.

Of course, the Derby County side that went down with 11 points in 2007, went almost a complete calendar year without winning a league game. Fortunately, for them, just before the year ticked round they had a visit from Sheffield United, and managed to avoid the ignominy of a year without a win.

That Derby team finished 18th in the Championship. That is the sort of thing that is likely to happen when you crash to relegation in humiliating style.

Not a cat in hell's chance that this side will be challenging for a return next season. There are so many players in the squad who have been fantastic servants to the club but the reality which is blindingly apparent is that they all peaked together, and most of them are on the way back down the other side of the hill now.

I like your optimism but I dont think any side can recover from a start like this. Especially as there are no signs of real improvement from match to match.

I know it might be highly unlikely but if there was ever a team you would like to stuff and get your first win its the one on Thursday night.

Got a feeling we will get something Thursday. Expecting henderson in goal too.

I had that feeling today. I'm fact, I've had that feeling a few times this season. It never goes very well.

Didn't expect anything today but man u are hit and miss. We need fans back, what a difference they have made to their teams today

They also stuck with the manager who got them up and allowed him to use the Orem money to recruit a new core group of players.

You need to know your philosophy and stick with it. farkehas one and it’s through him like a stick of rock. wilder seems stuck between a rock and a hard place at rhe moment, doesn’t know what he wants from his team. Hence they are neither fish nor fowl, there is no belief and they are easily picked off. If you’re going down, at least do it trying to play football.

Correct, i've never once said get rid of Wilder? Norwich NEVER spent while in the Prem, we have! We have a very good side capable of smashing the Championship if we can get an attacking system going again (just like we did in League 1 and championship to get out of the division). We need to stop thinking about how many we are conceding to end up with a starting line up of a defensive team, but start with an attacking team ( we sit on 1 point.. that will be remembered for a long time if we don't pick up points fast).

Can't believe anyone genuinely think's we'll get anything against Man U. We'll try for nil nil and get turned over.

No way of telling how we'd fair in the champ. What suggests we'd smash it? Our confidence is already shot and don't think we've hit absolute rock bottom yet - we're getting worse.

recruitment is critical to be remotely competitive at top end champ next season.

well for starters.. we know Brewster and McB can score a bucket load in that league..

Playing our system and following a lengthy confidence sapping goal drought?
well if you read what I'm trying to say originally... we need to START playing positive... and attacking minded instead of giving soo much respect opposition and over thinking about trying not to concede too many because the truth is.. we have 1 point..!!

If we can get rhythm (even if we lose 5-3 like Norwich did regular) at least we know we can score, have inner belief and hopefully carry it through with lesser teams in the Championship

I think the issue for us is that our attacking play didn’t come through flair players so we can’t generate it by simply having more attacking players on the pitch. Our attacking play came from deep With slick passing and movement whether that be from the wingbacks centrebacks or centre mids. So in order for us to generate that kind of play we need to be on song as a team it’s why we haven’t won games when not playing well this year. Other teams hang tough like we do and then a flair player creates a moment of magic to nick the game we don’t have that.

I'm naturally being Uber negative, I agree with the above but I've seen nothing to suggest we're about to address our approach.

Confidence is so important and right now I'd not back us against any champ outfit.

I'm for 'CW stays', Fullstop!.
He has to do/be better than this!!. I didn't think we would get anything today, but the manner of (a lack of) performance in this defeat was embarrassing.

He makes a big thing out of picking players from what he sees on the training ground, so, he made 4 changes today and they blatantly didn't work.
I want to know what he saw on the training pitch that was so different from the shite we saw today???????
