You're wasting your time Slim..... The Happy clappers will always adopt the persona of comical Ali from the gulf war....
To them it's not a fire sale of our best players.. Oh no... it's all part of some supreme transfer strategy overseen by an owner who only has the clubs best interests at heart.....

How anyone cannot see what this is and where it will end up is frankly baffling.

We must be the only newly promoted premiership side in history to begin the new season considerably weaker than the one we finished the previous season with.

Oh... And just so everyone is aware (coz I'm sure a few on here have forgotten)... The season starts on Saturday.
👏 👏

There are still some of you. Or realists, as you’ve named yourselves in some quarters, The New Age Outlaws or whatever you’ve Christened yourselves on social media. I can’t keep up.

Seeing people pulling Alex Crook for saying we are pathetic and behaving like a championship club, when he is in no way wrong. “You said this last time!!” Yeah he did, they all did, but don’t the only similarities between those two squads, mentalities and promotions overall were they both play in red and white, wear the Sheffield United badge and play 3 at the back. That side humbles this one.

All those who think Ndiaye and Berge are somehow snakes or rats this is aimed at too.
Come to think of it, if you think this applies to you - it does.

I’ll head this by saying I was totally behind the Prince and accepted his way of running the football club until after the January transfer window. The smell of shit got a bit too much to handle and it’s been nothing but downhill since despite a Premier league promotion.

I’ll ask you one question firstly and then follow it up with more after:
If this was happening at Wednesday, would you be pissing yourself and laughing your head off like a fucking chimp at Chansiri calling him a nutter, or are you a liar?

And then a few more:
Do you think this is any way normal to run a football club? We all know the prince is skint, but that’s no excuse. It shows absolutely no future planning and smacks of reactionary behaviour.

Turning over a net transfer profit after promotion to the premier league and having nothing to show for it, barely any assets on the pitch, a crumbling training ground, below standard Academy and some freshly painted stands. Unlike the likes of Norwich who’ve used their PL stints to build a state of the art training ground for example. Is that behaviour that you expect or deem acceptable?

I keep hearing the excuses for the squad being (ALARMINGLY) weaker than the side that won promotion being that the transfer window doesn’t end until the end of the month. In which we play Crystal Palace at home and Forest away. Does that make it acceptable? Give for City, You are in effect throwing 2 winnable games with this squad. We aren’t just accepting relegation we’re accepting an embarrassment.

The Prince has put the price of the club up at a reported £170m - is that a reasonable price? Being that was with a valuation of the squad at £120m. Now unless Anel is worth £100m I think that can be heavily reassessed.

Whose fault is it that we’ve had so many players running down to their last year of their contract? Egan and Baldock could well be next out of the door.

What are your thoughts of him keeping saying he is trying to find the best prospective buyer for the future of the football club but trying to sell us to two conmen which we actually know about?

What are the excuses for us doing all of this?
We should be £100m richer. You can blame cash flow all you want, borrow against the future like everyone else does. That doesn’t wash with me.

Call us negative all you want, we shouldn’t have a reason to be negative. Turns out we have about 100.

This isn’t just a mental way to run a premier club, it’s a mental to way to run a football club and it’s unacceptable. I can’t believe he has any supporters left.

And last but now least:
Do you expect us to beat Derby’s 07/08 record low points total of 11? Because I know I don’t.
I was tempted to follow your lead and open my response with a stream of childish and offensive insults towards people who don’t share my views and with whom I seek to engage, but recognised that this might not be the best way to encourage them to contribute.

You have questions. I have answers;

1. Laughing at Wednesday? This appears to be a multiple choice question - you offer the options of comparing myself with a chimpanzee or stating that I am a liar. I decide to choose neither ( stamps feet, shakes head...( be honest, you counted those dots, didn’t you?)). I would not be laughing at them because I have absolutely no interest in them and would be unaware of their predicament. I only pay attention to them when they are in our division, and that hasn’t been the case for a long time, thanks in large part to the excellent tenure of the Prince.

2. Is 170 Mio a reasonable price for the club? Why have you used that number? It’s absolutely stupid! Nearly as bad as the efforts of those well- respected posters who made an early effort to help you out by replying with some facts and figures. Looked like they were encouraging some sort of stupid benchmarking approach - nobody in their right mind tries to value assets like that. Anyway I know the answer to this one. My mate knows the Prince, and rang him up to ask for his best offer. Prince said £80Mio would do it. Couldn’t believe that, so I asked my mate again, and he said that it was true. He’s solid, and I trust him, so £80Mio is a fact.

3. Selling to a conman? Prince played a blinder. Ripped the second one off good and proper, and got us promoted as a direct result of his genius. No need to elaborate further. You say you want answers, not discussion, so there’s your answer.

I’m getting sleepy now - you’re so boring. I would suggest meeting up for a pint before the game on Saturday, but you’re just some random nobody on a football forum - don’t know you from Adam.

Recognise any of this? If not, have a look at some of your responses to various posts yesterday, and see if they remind you of anything. Tedious, isn’t it? I wonder why people have given up trying to reply?

If you want posters to take you seriously, and engage in value-adding conversation, try treating them with a bit of respect.

Brain Dead? You might just have hit on the right answer for yourself.

Oh no, did I upset some well respected posters? Deary me 😂

I’m so boring you’ve just posted an essay in response, odd retort… I personally wouldn’t do that

Ok, for clarity I asked questions I wanted their viewpoints to. So at the risk of you boring me to death do you have anything else to add?
Be honest, you want people to answer your 'questions' so you can shout them down and call them apologists.

Nope, just one set of answers would do so I could understand the ‘other lot’. Not had one yet and highly doubt I will

I considered my investment of time an act of public service, but it seems that you’re unable to look in the mirror and have a think.

Should have known better, and remembered the old adage: never argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ignore button it is, then. At least I’ve learned from feedback. Bye.

Oh no

No - why don't you address it there then?
Right so you’ve just said something without even knowing, thanks for clearing that up 👍

And because I didn’t want to. It’s not like the princes fans only exist on there. Do you really think there’s not a split in the camp since we sold Ndiaye and Berge? Really? Crazy

In the world I live in (here online, and in the real world) I haven't come across anyone I'd describe as an apologist or fan of the prince, in the way you described. You directed me to Twatter for your evidence, which leads me to ask, why aren't you addressing it there?

Quite simple, for all but the hard of thinking.

The answers you are after i.e. the opposing views, are all over the myriad of other threads on the subject. The same answers that seem to have gotten you so worked up.

Twitter is like shouting into the void, here you get to aim your questions at Blades. It’s quite simple.

Anyone justifying the sales of either without replacements, accepting the state of the squad, saying it was all ‘necessary’ is an apologist of the Prince and his lack of knowledge in how to run a football club. They don’t have to go round wearing thawbs and kaffiyehs.

So they shouldn’t be that hard for people, by the looks of it you, to dig up and bring to the table. Which you aren’t.

You've thrown a number of point togethers there - some of which I'd be happy to defend, some of which I wouldn't.

As Nah den pointed out - the answers have been covered multiple times. But looking through the tone and volume of your posts, I really can't be arsed to get into it with you, more than I already have. The floor's yours.

I'm not a Prince apologist nor do I have the inclination to trawl through previous threads to satisfy an OP that is at best an attention seeking hissy fit. You want the answers, you look for them.

I’m alright, I can wait. Thanks for wasting your time and mine though

Either answer questions or don’t I’m not here for a debate on the matter 😂 maybe when someone actually does that debate can be had. Until then these replies are a waste of energy
Wouldn’t want to waste your obviously very important time and energy so I will leave it at that. Just out of interest have you had any other names on this forum? Seem to remember someone similar to you from not long back.

Great post from the OP

I was truly astounded as SUFC supporters defended this laughably named " Prince " ..on various topics especially in a battle with Kevin McCabe ..a man , for all his perceived faults ..a Sheffield United supporter and lover of the club ...this Prince from the desert wouldn't have been able to find Sheffield on a map a few years ago ..he has zero interest in Sheffield United Football club , never has , never will ..get it into your heads and stop dreaming

But I support Derby , so I shut my gob ..

This scruffy bastard is a joke , a conman , a chancer ..who'd have led you to my sad pathetic territory.. League 1 , if he hadn't got lucky with Paul Higginbotham..who unbelievably..and nobody would have been more shocked than his ' Royal Highness " led the SUFC ..to the promised land .the Premier league. A fabulous effort .

In what World does any player ( SB ) want to leave a club like United for bloody Burnley?.. it's totally ridiculous .. something is seriously wrong

You need this villain , confidence trickster, conman out of your club immediately

If we are miraculously not in an unsalvagable position come late October/November, we may well prove a good investment. A new owner will be able to complete the takeover in time for JTW and could look to strengthen the squad, potentially keeping us up

Perhaps this is Hecky's thinking, bearing in mind we've only recruited (other than Traoré) defensive players. Keep it tight, play for 0-0 and hope to snatch a few wins, and keep us treading water without sinking too deeply into relegation trouble.

I’m trying to get my head around all this in an objective way so genuinely welcome any views on my understanding of where we are. Which of the following statements of mine is incorrect?

  1. we have sold our two best players (one still to be confirmed but good as gone)
  2. many thought the same two players would go in the JTW last year but we hung on to them and achieved promotion partly on the strength of that decision so we have at least accrued a tangible benefit from having them
  3. There has always been a sense of being on borrowed time with both Ili and Sander, reinforced by the fact that neither would accept an offer and sign a contract
  4. We have made approx £25-30 million on the sale of both of them now rather than next to nothing if we are relegated this season.
  5. Relegation was still a strong possibility whether we kept them or not
  6. IF the 25-30 million is reinvested then we have spread the risk of injury, loss of form of Ili or Sander and strengthened the depth of squad (although not necessarily the overall cumulative quality, depending on who we get)
  7. Our squad has gaping holes in key positions because of the current age profile and without additional funds coming in we can’t address this serious issue

So I can see the logic but I can also understand and share the anger. I think the main anger is that ultimately that neither Ili or Sander actually wanted to stay with us. That really stings and is hard to accept after they received so much support and adulation. It just leaves me with the feeling that it was always a matter of when not if and there’s never a good time to score an own goal.

I have no idea what Sheffield United FC/Ltd is worth - because I don't have access to all the information, and even if I did, I'd have no idea how to decipher that into a valuation.

But.

There's plenty of clubs changed hands since Prince Abdullah effectively put us on the market, and we're currently (though, maybe not for long) one of, if not the only item available at Premier League Clubs R Us which puts us smack on the radar of any individual or consortium or investment conglomerate who wants to wash their laundry via a football team. Of which, there are seemingly plenty.

So, the fact that nobody, save for lunatics and provable con men has so much as got past the stage of tentative enquiries can suggest only one of a few things;

1. Prince Abdullah is asking for too much.
2. There's facts/issues/liabilities we don't know about that are undermining a sale.
3. He doesn't actually want to sell us and it's all just a spin exercise.

Either way, the finger of blame, and the questions, need directing back at Prince Abdullah.

Derekacorah. This is a press report not made up by me, just posting on here.
Check for yourself. I think it,s a reporter spreading rumors, to be honest.

Ah, more good news. Utterly embarrassing.
"ItS oNlY tHe MaIl YoU'lL bElIeVe OwT."

This has been a PR disaster for the Prince and co. and it's long over fucking due.
