Most I know think the majority of the site are as daft as we do, a couple of them hate the site with an absolute passion :)

That's my personal favourite. Such a small sentence yet it says so much about how some of them have been brainwashed info thinking big names and big wages is the only way to succeed.

Imagine having Caroll and Sturridge on our books now. Huge wages, no chance of selling them on and both would have played about 8 games between them. Moose and McBurnie may not have been prolific but they both scored more goals than those 3 combined this season.
 
Not from Owlstalk, but equally deranged and presumably costing a few quid is this beauty. It didn’t stay up for long though unlike the target of their little joke

Lots of second season syndrome comments this year I suppose. It's a well known FACT that all teams who do well in their first season get relegated in year 2, when the world class managers, players and analysts finally work out how to stop them playing

I think they are now working on the theory that if they say stuff like this every season one day it’ll come true and they can strut around telling everyone they told us so.
 
To be fair, those pigs are clearly astute football people. they saw that our defence would struggle in the division above and they absolutely did. Only Man City and Liverpool have conceded fewer. Embarrassing.

The best is probably the guy who says 'Seriously? Seriously?'. Probably the only one who deep down knew that we would keep confounding expectations. Any one with an ounce of sense could see that we weren't going to be nearly as bad as people were making out. Basically, anyone who had ever seen us playing reckoned we would be okay.
 
I don't believe those quotes for one minute Roygbiv . I know for a FACT that you have simply copied and pasted the quotes from 2018, 2017 and 2016 you fraud 😂

EDIT: Just thought about it - quotes backdated a year. You're also a Wednesday fan. It just rubs off on you all this backdating malarkey

This is how the doomsayers always operate. I'll do my occasional recap again:
Sheffield United will never succeed with a lower league nobody like Wilder
Sheffield United will never keep this up all season with Bolton and Scunthorpe at them
Sheffield United will never survive in the Championship, it's got so much tougher
Sheffield United will never repeat that Championship season, teams will figure them out
Sheffield United will finish bottom of the Prem, their players can't hack it and their system will get "annihilated"
Sheffield United will never sustain a top half spot
Sheffield United will never be able to repeat that Prem season, "second season syndrome" will kick in

Next season might just be when they get it right, but it'll be after a shit ton of times of getting it horribly, horribly wrong.
 
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, a year ago I had similar doubts, is basham good enough, is our defence going to get found out in the best league in the world, are we going to create enough chances let alone score enough goals, my hope was that we finish 4th bottom and I wasn't confident of that, but I was wrong, no I wasn't I was embarrassingly wrong and I'm elated to admit it.
And if people on here thought that a top 10 finish was on the cards given the odds for that pre season then the fan base are probably the richest in the league

Obviously I want them to lose every game 8-0, but I REALLY want them to get cheated. I want them to have deserved the win but have goals ruled out by VAR. I want referees so biased against them, Wildebeest becomes the new Warnock and losing his mind becomes a regular topic on SSN.

Bet even he didn’t predict Lunnys-big-toe-nail-gate, Chris (I’m a City supporting cunt) Kavanagh or everybody in the world saw it go in but hawkeye says no.

Now, donning tin hat, full suit of armour and retreating to nuclear bunker;

I like to thank the pig fans who started and contributed to the thread on owls talk condemning the racial abuse of Didzy.

I can't recall anyone on this thread saying Wednesday will finish in such and such position, before a ball was even kicked. Nor can I recall any of our fans consistently predicting their fate and being wrong.
