There are 10 teams with 4 premier league wins so far this season - we’re the second highest out of those 10 thanks to our ability to grind out draws.

Kind of obvious but thought it was worth ‘pointing’ out.

A point in any other division is a disappointment. In the Premier league it’s invaluable. Don’t know why but when we get a point feels like we have over achieved. Over the last 6 years a point has always been seen as a disappointment . Let’s keep picking them up against the better teams and getting the 3 points starting against Newcastle on Thursday.

Drawing from winning positions isnt that laudable.

You could easily look at that stat and think we lost points.

Though i think we are excellent this year and doing better than i dreamt, but i do see this as a slight weakness.

It was always a tough ask to stop Wolves for 90 minutes, they're a good side.

Totally agree, simple maths, we've dropped far to many "2 points" in games we have missed golden scoring chances. We are nowhere near safe from a relegation spot, and if we were to go down, I would hate would hate to look back on this golden period and regret the amount of draws we were 'happy' with.
Having said that, today was a great away point, and I'd have settled for that before the game, it's just that.... Oh fuck it, I'll just shut up.

It depends on who we are drawing with, Spurs, Wolves, Chelsea, also Bournemouth were good draws. Watford not so good, though at the time I was happy with it, and then Man U was 2 points dropped. Now is the time to get a couple of victories on the board

We've had 7 draws so far which is the equivalent of 2 wins and a draw. It doesn't really matter how you get the points, a long as you end up with enough. Who wouldn't have taken a point away at Wolves?

Next 6 games are pivotal. 11 points from those which is 3 wins and 2 draws would give us 30 points. A great total going into the New Year.

At the start of the season we would have been delighted with draws against Spurs and Man Utd and only losing 1-0 to Liverpool.

But having experienced and witnessing those games we deserved more.

IMO every point we have gained this season has been deserved and yet there are games where we could have had more.

We could have seriously been pushing a top four place at this stage of the season.

The next 5 matches will be very interesting. I hope Chris Wilder has a number of shopping lists ready for January depending upon where we are at the end of December.

If we are in that 5th - 8th place after Watford on Boxing Day I hope he will push to recruit players that can give us the impetus to challenge for a top 4 place.

The performances so far deserve that.

it’s about perspective and proportionality. Our team has adapted to the Premier League magnificently. Far better than anyone thought we would. We are getting plaudits from all over the land. It’s great. We’re not perfect nor ever will be but we’re closer than I can ever remember.

We don’t play for draws, they happen. That’s football. All points are precious at this level and we’re accumulating very well indeed.

This team “always turns up” as Tufty puts it. He’s right. They also play the right way. Proper football. That combination is quite unique in my fifty plus years as a Blade. We have a remarkable team. I’m hugely proud of them. Let’s enjoy.

Fundimntally disagree with this bit of your posts. Grind out draws is what we did under Colin et al. We’ve played quality attractive football and gone 8 unbeaten, hardly grinding out results that’s consistency.
