"We brought in (David) McGoldrick, who is a good player by the way, and I was reading 'Wilder can't attract top players and the board have got ambition.' Then we signed John Egan and McGoldrick and it all changed.

"Then, when Ben Woodburn came in, it went to another level. Suddenly I was reading how we were going to win the league. I'm sat there thinking 'hang on' but that's the way of things now I suppose."

:eek:o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Is Wilder on drugs?

I hear all these thing he's saying, but, I thought he was one of us, so he should understand 100%, why everyone's, feeling slightly let down, by yet another, not great, transfer window, the sale of one of our better assets, for a nominal fee, that seems to have vanished at the moment, the same way it always seems to?

I really hope the powers can pull a couple of very decent loans out of whichever hat they've got in the boardroom, to show they're not just fobbing us off again, and taking the piss out of the people that keep the club running.

At least we know Wilder reads the forum.

Is Wilder on drugs?

Are you saying that the signing of a less than prolific, injury prone 30 year old forward, with a badly scarred scrotum on a free transfer from a team that finished 9 points below us in the table, and whose form indirectly led to the manager quitting his job, didn't make you think 'Fuck me, our board is finally showing some ambition!'? There's just no pleasing some people. ;)

Didn’t Wilder say there was no one out there we could sign on a permanent transfer that would improve us?

So why am I know supposed to believe we will sign a loan player with a view to permanent by the end of the month?

Like Wilder said, we’re looking at loans, so why would anyone get excited by that?

I have no problems with loaning players in as long as it's in conjunction with permanent signings. If we sign 3 loan players we'll just be in a worst position this time next year.

Can't criticise the transfer window because meltdown.

Something very fishy going on here. We bid £5m for Waghorn, lose out and bid for 4 other players then all of a sudden we aren't in for any? Wilder is walking around with his bottom lip on the floor and the players are playing like they are on spice.

Wilder walks before September is out is my guess. I think he's been royally fucked by Waldorf and Statler.

Manager calls for perspective after reminding 'loan to buy' deals can still be brokered

Now there's a reminder he might regret saying out loud come 1st September. Beware the ides of August.
