I'm in season 2 managing us on football manager and it says George Long is tipped to be the new David Seaman, Diego De Girolamo is tipped to be the new Gianluca Vialli!

Even Robert "Did my mum like Led Zeppelin" Page should be able to do summat with players like that

I bet it's because you're playing him up front instead of the left wing

The ratings from north of the border are always massively over cooked in my opinion. I've had to reduce Flynn's attributes quite dramatically compared to when he first signed.

On FIFA I paid £3 million for Jamie Murphy.

I barely kept anyone on FIFA I think I only have Maguire left now I am in the PL.

It would send out the wrong message perhaps to the real life manager spend big and sell everyone.

No, but I kept getting threatened with the sack whilst we were 2nd in League One. So just like real life really.

Interesting things i spotted are we had a "Director of Football" somebody called Stephenson, but i sacked him, never heard of him but a quick google search shows he does exist. I wonder what exactly this guy does and would it put off potential managers?

Also the game says we have a £26m "gift loan" from McCabe, repayable when he leaves. Anybody know if this is accurate? I know we "owe" him money, but no idea how much or in what form. I believe we pay over inflation interest, so are we even paying back any money we owe to him or is he basically just taking out the interest as a "nice little earner" and hoping to get all his money back one day?

Look up the word gift, then look up the word loan. Its a near impossibility that a loan is a gift or the other way around. Thats Superblade for you.

He's our 'Head of Football Operations', and the DOF is the nearest thing I can get him to on FM. He's basically a link between the manager and the board.

When that 'gift loan' was first put in he wasn't taking much out because we were still in the Championship trying to get promoted, so I'm looking at changing that for FM2014 and making it a larger loan being paid back in installments to represent our finances better. How to go about doing it is another thing though, because if he's taking a percentage of our transfer fees too it's so difficult to reflect that in the game

On FIFA I have westlake, long, Kennedy, harriott, kmac, philiskirk, McMahon, & Maguire still in my side, top of the premier league right now. In the first season I bought Luke freeman and Luke James for some pace and that did most of the work, amazing what a difference a bit of pace in the team made.

The only Blades I still have are Long (80 overall), Maguire (79 overall) and McDonald (82 overall)
