The new midfield

We have had lots of speculation for new strikers and defenders, but where will we find the midfield player we want? The competition for the Hibs duo of Brown and Thomson may take them out of our range, so where is the talent we can afford? Any thoughts?

I didn't mean put all 3 in at once (it may have sounded like that) but there are 3 other people in midfield normally alongside one of these and 4 defenders and 2 attackers, so no not just on them.
They're part of the squad for a reason and thats cos they're good enough to play alongside the rest of the squad.

As for Koumas, no point in even thinking we might get him now. Although I would like him, he is another lazy winger, and we already have one of them in ifill

He's a natural CM anyway, but as you say weve got no chance of getting him.

yes you do have to run up and down the wings all the time. It's called tracking back and helping with defensive duties - which is what we moan about quinny not doing.

i'd like to see squinny, law and travis in with a shout at least of playing first team football...i would like to see both koumas and hendrie come to the land but realistically i don't think we will

Bale is a left back and looks very promising in the fact he could overtake cashley in the england squad, time will tell. we dont however have the resources to sign him.

Koumas would not score us 10 goals in a full season, never mind half a season.

I'm sure if his lack of defensive work led to us conceding 12 goals in a season people would care.

Koumas is an attacking midfielder which is something we need in the central of midfield. Although your right we had and missed our chance to get Koumas but we certainly need someone else.
