Why is he referred to as the Pirate?

Best I can find is this

Mousset had an outstanding game but you hear more and more he's getting called a "beast"... this is probably overly PC for a lot of people on here but i've noticed that it's only ever black players who get called Beast - Ebanks-Landell, Akinfenwa obviously, but you don't hear it with strong / fat white players. Not saying anyone's racist but does make you wonder what unconsciously makes you think "beast" with a black player but not white players.

Love reading the Bournemouth fans comments on social media today.

Because at Bournemouth ( or Brentford or Norwich or any other football pseuds) that challenge on Jones would have been greeted with an intake of breath and a mutter about not the right way to play . At the lane it was greeted by 30000 people shouting an involuntary " go on son ". It's in our DNA, we all love skill but love this irreverence and fight just as much . Wednesday lost it a few years ago when they sold their souls for football fwiends and the quest for the premiership.

Adebayo Akinfenwa based his whole mindset on "Beast Mode" and looks like hes doing quite well out of it with merchandise and raising his public image. I'm pretty sure hes fine with the term beast and doesn't consider it racist. Here's a crazy thought, he might even find it a compliment when people refer to him as the beast.

Watched the inside shirecliff before wolves video and Moose looks 100% as Wilder confirmed.

But more importantly the rapport he has built within the team looks first class. Play fighting with Mcburnie, bantering with Callum (about Fifa20?) looks like he couldn't be happier.

His recurring insta hashtag has been #lapiraterienestjamaisfini, roughly translated "the Pirates are never finished." Not sure what it's all about but I quite like it.

Although, not sure how apt it is - as in Mousset's case he usually finishes somewhere between 60 & 70 mins having just destroyed a team. Could really use someone else with wheels to come on & replace him as we seriously miss the outball when he goes off.

I would assume it would be to do with his Senegal heritage (father from Senegal and who i would probably pick him to represent if the call came), where pirates are widely renowned.
