I just think subtle racial stereotyping of sportsmen & women probably does exist, one part of this is black players being more likely to be depicted as physically powerful rather than tactically adept... which may for example contribute to bigger problems like there being disproportionately few black managers in the football league. Deano has talked about this a lot. (Brian not Hendo).

Fair enough there are plenty of examples of white "beasts".

Interesting point. I think actually as good as Brooks was he wasn’t as natural a fit for our side as mousset is... similarly I don’t think lys got a fair crack at Bournemouth either.

Probably a case of us both benefiting with this trade. We potentially both have 30m players on our hands now.
