We've been told we have injuries
We've been told that with the number of games coming up we need to manage players
We've been told that we'll need to rotate players

We've got one of the best records in the league since PH took over

and yet, fail to win a game and...............

It's a tough league. We beat Fulham. Barnsley beat Boro. This will happen.

Not the end of the world.

This is the thing for me. But for a shit piece of marking from a daft free kick we’d have drawn 0-0 and it would have been happy days.

My only concern would then be that we’d still have a striker with whom there is seemingly inverse correlation between him starting and us scoring goals. That’s not ideal.
Inverse correlation. Love it!! x

As much as I would love to go back through all your ‘My takes’ I really can’t be bothered. Once is enough

Yep. Seems like you've already got your mind made up. Yet people on here seem to think the critics of say, McBurnie are similarly predisposed. Again, if you'll check my posts, I even praise him in some because he actually puts a shift in (albeit, off the bench in the late stages) and doesn't shithouse his way through a game, spend his time laying on the deck with his arms out, winding the ref up (when have you ever seen McBurnie with his face directly in the refs make him change his mind?) or spend his valuable minutes trying to be Kevin De Bruyne or Paul Scholes?

So lets not split hairs about who already has an agenda here eh, Copes? I offer evidence, you simply don't like what I post. One is about the match, the other is about me.

Plus ca change

Is he? Or is he whining because people are simply voicing an opinion at odds with his? There are many on here who go to great lengths to explain why they feel the way they do about yesterdays result yet that's not good enough for Silent. Anyone remotely disappointed with that game should simply shut up and rejoice in the past few games where we have done well. Well, check back ... we were happy with it. So how long do we have to endure matches like yesterdays before we are 'allowed' to offer a counter observation? Would this be an actual forum if after the Millwall game we sat round and laughed at the result?

And you are mentioning 'perspective'

pommpey

You are twisting SB's criticism towards the neysayers of yesterday's performance by turning him into a "fucking Putin" who doesn't allow for any post-match criticism at all. There might be more context of which I am blissfully unaware of, but I'm going off the original post.

You can be disappointed with yesterdays performance and still appreciate that it is just a smudge, with mitigating reasons, on an excellent record. The OP doesn't suggest that you can't be.

I really can’t see that I have an agenda on your posts, I just expressed an opinion on this particular post. You write your post match posts, which some love, some hate. I personally think that they have got better but I think that you write to gain favor with a certain group that you know will like your posts.

Once I was in the ground and saw our line up I said 1-0 Millwall that said I expected a much better performance.

We didn't hurt them at all and we should have they were poor we were poorer it happens hopefully a blip

Onto the next game UTB
I think with the squads fatigue and a lot of fixtures we rested Berge, MGW and Fleck against a physical Millwall team to prepare them for Forest and Middlesbrough.. it’s a bump in the road but we get at least 4 points on next 2 it’ll be forgot quickly.

Two teams producing a bang average performance yesterday, but I thought we were marginally the better team overall.
In midweek I thought Blackburn were slightly better when it was 11 v 11, but we nicked it with a set piece, just as Millwall nicked it yesterday.

I agree with Silent, some of the reactions are way over the top.

What we dont know is which players are carrying knocks and minor muscle strains and can only play a certain number of minutes per week without getting properly injured.

What we do know is if neither MGW or Berge are in the team our ability to go past players is virtually zero (unless Ndiaye is on form).

Against a workman like team such as Millwall you need a bit of flare to break them down. We chose not to play either and it's fair enough to criticise this policy especially when you play 2 strikers with zero pace. Sharp and Jebbo would have given us more opportunity to stretch them but instead we had a slow front two and no midfield flare.

Really? What benefit would that do? On a dark corner of the internet, where supporters of a football team I also support congregate people who I don't know and who I will never meet from all over the planet either agree or disagree with my opinion on a football game. And I spend half an hour or so articulating it in a different way to some other commentators who (seemingly to you, although I have never seen you call Deadbat or Roy out about it) also using your measure 'have their audience'.

Think about it. There is nothing in this for any of us. Ask DB. Ask Roy. Or better still, put your own opinions up if your'e brave enough.

Sounds like you're a bit of a bitter mardy arse Copes. Another one, like Sitters and Silent, who has been around these forums for many years yet haven't come to terms with their bollocks hanging a little lower as time passes. Shame.

This aint about the match any more is it?

So any variance from that narrow diktat and your toys are out of the pram, huh Jaffs?

Thanks for your own permission on what I can and what I can't do on here.

Tanks just crossing the border, Vlad?

SB is dabbing his eyes because we lost yesterday and people are disappointed, moreso with Hecky's adjustments. And gad-dammit we've got the fucking neck to articulate our opinions on a fucking football messageboard which he also views. Shame on us. Never been Bladesmen.

Really, what the fuck are you talking about?
No idea what good it would do but it is an opinion that I have about your reports. Roy copies other fans quotes, while Deadbat, writes an informative journalistic review.
If anyone is a mardy arse, it sounds like you, not liking anyone questioning your posts.

McBurnie is just useful coming on for the last 15 minutes when you're defending a lead like against Birmingham away and Blackburn at home. But he isn't a goalscorer which was what we thought we were paying £18.5 million for. That's just an observation not McBurnie hate. Some of the criticism is over the top. We're not going to win every game. Yesterday was poor. But we'll improve again for the next game. I have no doubt.

Two defeats in last three months and some still try their best in fault finding!

I'll fucking moan when I want to! ... I'll fucking moan when I want to! ... I'll fucking moan when I want toooo!

Well, if Deadbat's reports are your cuppa, be my guest. It would break my fucking heart if you didn't read 'My take', so it would. I have 'my kind of people' you see (how fucking patronising is it to regard them as such?)

And as said (but you're not listening) I don't have a problem people questioning my posts, as long as it's about the match. It's just that when the seasoned forum police descend upon them, I feel the need to tell people to fuck off.

You appear to be getting your knickers in a bit of a twist about things I haven’t even said. I actually read your posts, so take a deep breath and relax. Carry on writing your little takes and I will feel free to comment if I like

He's had a great start with a side that was certainly under performing before he was appointed. This side should be top six easy, he has got us within touching distance of that, He will be judged on where we are at the end of the season.
I personally think he was a the cheap in house appointment with nothing in his record saying he could get us back to the Premiership. To be fair he's done well but I still have nagging doubts about his ability, especially with his constant changing of the side, and his inability to seemingly make positive substitutions.
Yesterday was a chance missed in my view Millwall were not great and we should have taken something from that game.

Re-read my two, short posts - at no point have I opposed your right to an opinion. I simply disagreed with your tirade against someone who offered theirs.

I'm not sure there been loads of moaning really has there? We played crap and people almost to a person have said that. Noone has said we are 'rubbish' but have said we were rubbish in this game. There is a difference.

We have been doing fantastic and Hecky deserves so much credit.

That is not to say on a forum fans cannot be critical of 'a' game or 'a' team selection. Isn't this the point of a forum? People can praise and/or criticise. There was never going to be much praise yesterday as individually and collectively we looked pretty abject.

Even Hecky himself was critical of us after the game in terms of us not really getting going or doing much attacking wise which is what most have said - maybe he is part of the moaning brigade!

Some posters/fans might have gone over the top as they sometimes do but most I have seen just felt it was one bad game and feel confident we can get back on a run with more of our stronger players back in the team.

Looking through some of these comments, looks like some are being a bit harsh, though it wasn't our performance it was our 4th win in a row and we've only lost 1 in 7 and that was at fulham , you don't have a run like you've done in this division if your an average side , and you looked a better side than some that are still above you including blackburn and qpr , who we made look really ordinary , I'd love to see both of us make the play offs and though we are only 4pts outside ,your far more likely to make them than we are , though I don't think we will be far away , thanks to all your fans acknowledging Jimmys day yesterday , good things sometimes come through after the saddest of times , always liked and respected your club and its fans , and best of luck till the end of the season

I think both teams were pretty poor on the day but it doesn't make either poor teams overall. Both looked tired but you had that bit more energy and just edged it I thought. Both teams can play much better and I suppose from our view it was a missed opportunity as you weren't at your best. If we had nicked it I'm sure you'd be thinking the same.

I haven't seen too many complaining about the overall state of things, or about the manner of our transformation under Hecky.

But no matter how well we have been doing, performances like that one yesterday deserve calling out.

No drama, and we go again, but we simply can't afford to play like that if we want to consolidate a top 6 spot.

Well I’ve just got home from London so not had time to read this site until now, but if you can’t have a moan about that performance yesterday you’re easily pleased. We were dire, and that’s the truth of it. It was an old fashioned good weekend spoilt by ninety minutes.

All Blades fans want is there team to give 100% week in week out,

what's frustrating is we've found when we give 100% we're actually quite good.

But against Millwall it was almost like a weakened team was put out and instructed NOT to put in 100%.

It's the manner of the defeat not the defeat itself...

Oooh. I'm flattered. Even by your 'little takes' quip.

Pull your kecks up Copes. Your dick is out.
