I guess recalling & picking Tyler Smith confirms that Woodburn has no future at Bramall Lane?

Unless Woodburn still has that injury he had last week or whenever, you'd assume so.

Definitely think he'll be going. It'll be interesting to see where he goes next. CCV went to Ipswich didn't he?

Wonder if Ben will go to someone like Preston or Wigan, both localish to Liverpool but more chances maybe, or lower down the pyramid, or he might just stay. Maybe the Premier League would suit him more, bit less closing, less pressure to track back.

Goal Sheffield United - David McGoldrick is slipped in behind and he finishes well. It's been coming. SUFC 1-0 WBA (13')

How much will the Blades be ruing not making more of their dominance?

They have had the Baggies on the ropes so many times this half, but it looks like they'll be going in level at the break because of Gareth Barry's equaliser.

Billy Sharp flashes an effort wide from a tight angle as the hosts look to go back in front.

We seem to have run out of a steam in the second half. They are well on top at the minute. I'd get Washington to stretch them at the back.

Was just about to post that it would be a miracle if we get a 1-1 out of this

A team that can play reasonably well but then be totally and utterly fucking dogshit in the same match cannot possibly go up

Coutts needs a rocket...the team has passed him by as his been on the treatment table.

Sharp drifts a lot and is no good outside the 18 yard box.

Fleck has had a mare.

Duffy and Basham best players.

No attacking threat whatsoever. Great build up play they we’ve got no final idea.

Midfield is stationary...Norwood and Coutts too similar for me and when you are chasing a game you don't need 2 central midfielders who sit deep.

The gulf in class really showed tonight. Look at Gareth fukin Barry. 38 years old and schooling us.

Long way to go

Narcoleptic.

Egan was in everyone's pocket second half.

Faffing about costing us at both ends.

Reinforcements needed.

Johnson's only purpose is to come on in the eightywhateverth minute and kick our final chance out of play.

We were fucking useless second half. Johnson and Washington bring less to the team than Trevor Hockey and he’s been dead for 30 years. And do we dock player’s wages for having a pop at goal? You could play us with a shop dummy in goal. I look forward to Wilder saying it isn’t good enough again.

The most depressing thing about that was how predictable it was. Dominate, don't see that dominance reflected on the score sheet, concede (often from a mistake) and play less well second half than first (when did last improve after the break?).

Expect the same on boxing day against Derby. It's a shame because we're great to watch, but we're just not quite good enough.

Don't forget the part where we don't get a couple of decisions so almost excuse ourselves a loss because the referee was mean and we can blame him.

Honestly it is depressing how readable our games are as you say, I was pleading with the Universe to make Wilder pick Smith over Washington, at least it's something different and he'd want it.

Washington I like, but putting him on in the 80+ minutes just means we start the hoofball and we're shit at it.

Don't even get me started on Johnson, he might not have had a fair shake but Christ.

Wrong. We’re nowhere near good enough. Nothings changed since 12 months ago. Slate me all you want, its my opinion. & I dont think Wilder knows how to sort it out. Again, just my opinion.

We never will be good enough whilst the small time boardroom keeps control

They've got a get out of jail card anyway because most of our fans are as small time as they are

Any time money is mentioned we get some backward cunt using Wendy, Leeds, and any other fucker who's spent more than 50p and didn't succeed immediately

First half we played fantastically well, they scored against the run of play, second half we were like a league 2 team playing a premiership side, to be honest it could have been 4 or 5 -1 because our defence left 2 or 3 opposition players in acres of space on more than 1 occasion, It seems apparent to me that unless there's an injection of quality in January we'll struggle for a top 10 finish let alone play offs

blade too long As i said on pre view your optimism to be applauded but sometimes you have to be realistic & i hate to be the guy who says i told you so & trust me i would've rather been proved wrong. so i just say i informed you thusly. But in that i just dont have confidence in our defence to keep a clean against top opposition

We're better than those at the bottom
And we can beat those middle of the road teams that aren't on good form or who have attitude problems

But there's at least 8 better teams than us, and we consistently manage to get fuck all from any of them

I agree with the gist of that. Is it a case of Wilder lacking resources or just not knowing how to solve the problem? At present I’m going with the former, but the latter is a possibility.

You say that but Reading were better than us for45 mins and Rotherham were better for 80 minutes, as for the middle teams we have to play at our best and at full throttle to win them, against the top 8 teams we give it our all in the first halves then in the second half it's either were shagged or the opposition's quality shines through or a combination of the two. Although I'm disappointed with tonight I have temper it with the fact we don't have the best players we don't have the best quality but we can never question the teams effort, and it's frustrating that all of us know were not far away from being a very very good side.

Any team could beat us, but many teams have low confidence, poor form, having bad luck or have players that don't care enough

We'll pick up points against teams that suffer from these afflictions, but when we meet a good team that wants to win......We'll lose, we always do

When did we last improve after the break? Last week at Reading, I'd say.

Again the only difference was a basic error .surprisingly from a very off key Norwood which turned the momentum. We were coping well till then and again we showed plenty of quality but are just not getting the deflected passes other teams seem to get that constantly go against us

True, but I was meaning in 'big' games. Not trying to be disrespectful to Reading, but our matches against the better teams in the division seem to follow a pattern.

I think it's mainly due to the lack of quality options on the bench. We clearly burn out and run out of ideas against better sides but you look at the bench last night and there isn't anything there to improve things.

Could i just add, that i am thankful for Marvin Johnson upload_2018-12-15_9-19-20.gifhow he gets a place on the bench infront of Lundstram,be-wilders me.(Anyone say its because he has a left foot......i will say he cant control said foot).

On to the game i thought we had them on the run in the first 30 mins and if we had known how to pass in the 18 yard area we would have gone in at HT leading by a bigger margin.

WBA got a kick up the arse at HT,and upped their game to a level that we could not live with.

This game reminded me so much of the first game of the season against Swansea, which we also took the lead in and lost 1-2,and referee was also Jeremy Simpson.

Cannot see us staying in the play off places, when we become a proper mid table side perhaps SKY will piss off and plague some other team.

Same old story. Dominate possession. Do little with said possession. Concede. Heads go down. Switch off. Concede again.
