So with a seemingly full squad to choose from we 'welcome' our neighbours from across the city to BDBL. And what a match in store. Sure both teams are somewhat apart in form, though even we have only won 1 in the last 4, but we all know derby day is a match we're form counts for little. However, passion does, so I think we should be ok on that front too.....

Anyway...

Any team news?

Bash immediately returning?

Sharp surely gets the nod this time v the Wednesday

Clarke 6 in 6 previous games v these, surely he appears at some stage?

Soooo looking forward to this. Must be careful though and play as we do against all opposition, there is no requirement to change anything against these. Perhaps an eye on Reach, but being mindful is sufficient. Nerves will probably play a part, but if we can get an early goal then it could be a long light for them. And despite all their desperate comments, I think a steady 3-1 Blades win is unlikely to have them celebrating at only losing by a couple of goals....

Confident all week and now I want it postponing!

I don't think he will drop Freemen, Wilder will have just fired him up instead and if he does tire George won't let us down.

Duffy, Mcgoldrick and Bash to start.

Put them to the sword early but if we haven't scored after half an hour... or even an hour we need to keep positive. They havent kept a clean sheet all season.

Ps please sing as much as I am going to, raise the roof, they deserve it!

This game of all games, if we go 1-0 up early on, we cannot sit back like we have in the past. Keep going at them.

I hate the build up to derbies, nerves getting progressively worse all week.
We all know that if we play to the best of our abilities we should come away with 3 points from this, but derbies have a way of tipping the universe on its arse.
Jos has to have them fired up for this, it could be last chance saloon for him, but CW and AK will have us running at 100% plus.
The weather could be a factor, atrocious forecast for tonight, but that could well suit us better than them.
Just got to get work out of the way, knock off early and train into town for a few nerve steadiers.
Prediction: 5-1 all different goal scorers, but I’d happily take 1-0 with a 93rd minute goal off Bashams left arse cheek!

Team needs to have Sharp, Duffy, McGoldrick and Freeman in it.

We’ll conspire not to win. I’m expecting the worst. It’s on at 10:45pm here so I’ll have a skinful before and hopefully fall asleep and wake up at full time.

It would be a mistake to start with Clarke.

Sharp and Dids, with Duffy in behind, clearly works as a better “unit”.

That said, it would be wonderful for Leon to come off the bench and notch. The cherry on the bun :)

I can see both teams scoring tonight and it going either way tbh.

I am normally very confident where we are concerned and every meaningful stat has up so far out in front of them up to now that it shouldn't even be close. But it will be.

Hate to say it, but I have a bad feeling about this one.

current weather forecast is for light rain between 6 & 8 pm and then pissing it down for the rest of the night :( Hope that doesn't level things up. UTB

Anyone with the gift of breathing would be stupid not to be cautious against complacency. Too many derbies over the years have told us that the favourites often get rolled over. Form can mean nothing.

3 points any which way will do me.

I'll say 1-1.

We'll fucking batter them and go a goal up then Reach or Joao will pull something out from nowhere to secure the greatest result of their season.
