I wonder why the 'H' was dropped in the first place?
The street is named after the Bramhall family who owned the Railway Hotel, but for some reason the street itself has always been 'Bramall Lane'.
the H has only been dropped by the people of sheffield as countless posts on other forums will show as you can see on Roygbiv threadsI wonder why the 'H' was dropped in the first place?
