Our two season ticket renewals are donations to the club and I say donations because I do not expect us to travel our 2 hours each way that many times next season.

I have no optimism whatsoever as I am confused by our manager's haphazard performance this season and have no idea what his plans will be; there are no clues in his sugary, cliche ridden interviews what his favoured system is or in his record to date whether he knows which players to sign to play such a system; there is certainly no evidence of this wonderful team spirit he goes on about. Attending games makes me angry most weeks.

My big decision was whether to renew or pack it in and sign up to BladesPlayer. On balance we wouldn't abandon the club after 60 years when things are so bad. Why? I don't really know, sort of a loyalty thing, sense of duty I suppose, being members of a club. There will be two empty seats there for plenty of games I'm sure and we'll even feel guilty about that.Suppose I'd better sign up to BladesPlayer as well!!

It's not just about winning though is it.

I renewed mine a fortnight ago. As ever, I am optimistic about the season ahead! I am possibly deluded, but I felt on Thursday evening that KM was genuinely committed to ensuring that the club gets back on track. To be fair, he has acknowledged many of his mistakes and I believe that the club's aim to deploy a sensibly reduced budget, achievable largely by having a smaller and more robust squad, is a perfectly sensible strategy. I am also prepared to give NA the benefit of the doubt. He walked into a very tricky situation last summer and, whilst it has perhaps taken too long for him to get a grip on this, he has cleared the decks and we are now seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I get the impression that season tickets have sold surprisingly well and this adds fuel to my optimism. Come on you Blades!

You can fill in the form, scan it and email it to the box office. I live in that there London and did it all from the comfort of my sofa in my boxers a few days ago. It took 5 minutes. Gonna have to wait 'til they jack up the prices now, aren't yer.
