Did it a couple of weeks ago.
To not renew, for me personally, would be to willingly sign up for long walks and garden centres on a Saturday afternoon with the missus.
I'm not prepared to do that.
(Only because I prefer saving those 'til Sundays when United rarely play, not because I dislike my missus)
(Although I do really fucking hate all garden centres)
Christ that reminds me, remember that Brenford game a couple of seasons ago that was in March but there was a freak snow storm and it got postponed? I was sat in the flat with my ex missus when I got the news. She (not a football fan at all and often seemed to get immense pleasure out of being really sour [as I say, ex missus]) said with a triumphantly authoritative tone "Well you can help me with the shopping, then." Cue arctic trek across The Moor and a domestic.
"Helping with the shopping" is a spine chilling phrase anyway, fraught with danger and questions that there are just no good answers to like "does my bum look big in this" or "does this make me look fat". Or the crowning turd in the water tank, going to about 20 different shops, then going back to the first one for the first thing they looked at.
Similar to the team slowly extracting the joy out of us for 10 monthsRenewed - as I've said previously, my form of protest is to make them extract the money from me slowly via the direct debit scheme over 10 months, despite the fact it is sitting in the bank already. Foxy has done the same.
Similar to the team extracting the joy out of us for 10 months![]()
Don't forget the absolute will of steel it takes to NOT say what you really think:
'What do you think to these?'
'Hand on heart, couldn't give a shit. Everything looks the same and this is a complete waste of my time'
Having said that, I'm the one in our relationship guilty of going to 20 shops and going back to the first one. I don't want to buy summet only to find out 3 shops later I could've got the same thing cheaper, or something better for the same price![]()

Just told my lad I`ve got him his first ever season ticket.
Get used to the pain son, get used to it...
Lucky you.Renewed ours, me and the mrs, first day they went on sale, no reason not to, it's not like I am not going to go.
Reading this thread makes me realise (and I know a lot of the posts have been intentionally funny) how lucky I am to be married to a woman who loves the Blades and football in general. Never been an argument when it comes to football, in all the years we have been married. It's her that says to me, "tickets on sale for Port Vale" (or insert the name of any shit house ground we have had to endure over the last five seasons) "shall I go and get two?", it's her that plans our holidays or weekends away around football, so we don't miss any home, or easy-to-get-to away matches. It's her that will say "don't be working too late, football on ITV tonight, etc.
It's her that will pop into the club store on her way back from town and buy me a t-shirt or something.
She sorts out Blades Super Draw, our SUSA membership, I could go on and on.
Mind you, I do get all the "shall we go shopping" type garbage over Summer, can't wait for the season to start!!
UTB!
