Listening to Keith Edwards and the Radio Sheffield commentators over the last few months it seems as though we are really quite a good team who get in good positions, look bright, pass well and are very threatening. Contrast this with the matches I have actually seen and the match reports I have read and, guess what, we are in fact dogshit. We have just lost to Palace and lost against the mighty Scunthorpe having thrown away a 2 goal lead.

This whole effing season is surreal. I am still sitting here in complete disbelief. I have been supporting a team for over forty years that has become an embarrassment, a laughing stock, a case study in god-awful management and I feel humiliated by the whole sad, sorry saga. Can't even feel angry anymore. Quite honestly, for the first time in my long Blades supporting history I feel nothing for this bunch of losers.

I actually feel sorry for myself - i have stood on the terraces of Hartlepool and other god forsaken fourth division grounds I spent the 75-76 season going to every match home and away (all 42 programmes still in my loft!). Never have I felt like this.

I haven't felt the need to post in quite a while (can't stand the arguing) but I echo the above, I probably stood next to you at some point that season!
Now everyone is taking the piss, what has happened to my club? even my belief has gone, at 0-2 I said to the wife we will lose 3-2 and I really believed it,
What REALLY worries me is I can't see where a win is going to come from and I worry that when we go down it will be for quite a while.

Look McCabe, Adams and the team are all doing their very best. It's supporters like you who are the problem. Get a grip. McCabe has said we won't go down. Don't you believe him.

Humiliation... spot on. Lucky enough I don't live near Sheffield so I won't really get the pork snarling like most of you but it's just shocking how far we have fallen.

4 managers and 20 plus (tbc) loan players in 2 years will pretty much kill you.

Fingers crossed Northampton get promoted then I can have my own littel darby days with Northampton, MK Dons and Peterborough.

You are absolutely right. It is of course entirely my fault and we will be in Europe in 5 years. I was just having 'a moment' :)

A guy sat near us on Tuesday said that this was the worst team he had seen in 30 years, my dad argued that the team under Heath was worse, but with a team lacking in both ability and commitment, could this be the worst team in the history of the club?

Anybody old enough to remember a worse team?

I have never felt this way before. I do not feel any attachment to the players in this team. They are just a collection of poor individuals who do not understand what it is to be a blade. Alot of them must go in the summer (obviously the loanees will go back to the parent clubs without batting an eyelid). Next season, we need permanent players in the majority, no the minority. We need to blood the youngsters.

I have never gone into so many games thinking we are going to lose. No wanting us to lose but knowing deep down inside we will lose. Tonight at 2-0 up after 7 mins, I thought we might go on and smash Scunny but deep down I knew what would happen and it did. I feel totally sick. I dont think I have ever felt this way even when we went down from the Premier League

Oh, the team under Heath were bad but alot of those players came good when Warnock took over. This for me is the worse set of players we have ever had.

I do think this is the worst team i have ever seen wearing a Blades shirt. I saw my first game at 5 years old and I am now 53. 48 years and hundreds of games and I cannot ever remember giving up on survival in February. I also think that considering where we were just a few short years ago to have arrived at this position is nothing short of a complete and utter disgrace.

I started watching the Blades in the early 80's when we were in the old Division 4 and I have seen some poor players across the years, but normally what we lacked in ability we more than made up for in grit, determination and team spirit which carried us a long way, but now even that has gone. That's why everybody has given up already because the players can't play any better, they're simply not good enough, and Micky Adams has obviously failed to inject a fighting spirit into the team.
