Its the pissing around in our own half that pisses most of our fans off. Both Lavery and Sharp were making runs between the defenders but Coutts, Duffy and Fleck decided to go sideways.

Getting the ball into the box when no strikers are in the box usually ends in a wasted situation but if there are no players that far upfield then run at the defence and try and get into the box. There may be players still on the M1 but getting a player with the ball into the box increases the risk of a challenge-lunge...

It was more get a pass forward quickly to your strikers who are making moves but no most of the time we just decided to pass it around their box and let them get all their players behind the ball.

If Lavery, Scoogs or Done are not on the pitch we have little pace or urgency about us.

Quality into the box was poor today, as it has been all season. Lafferty spent most of the first half finding the first defender, the one time Clarke went across the first defender, Lafferty put it long into the air.

I'm very much "takethefuckinballintothefuckinbox" brigade. Defenders hate players who can run with the ball into the box. Duffy is our man who can do that. Unfortunately the imaginary "force field" around the penalty box was switched on today.

You have to be patient, but you can understand why people get frustrated when the opposition get 10 men behind the ball and waste time at every opportunity.
Thankfully this season we are actually going for the wins for 90 minutes and changing the team to get the right players on in response to the opponents lack of attacking ambition.
Playing the right way will get results more often than not, but as some one has already said, everyone is a paying customer, entitled to their own opinion and ultimately all hoping for the same outcome. Live and let live eh

We won, deservedly. Patience paid off, and you have to give N'hampton credit for being strong defensively. Coutts was the architect of our win, creating a situation where they panicked and Freeman took advantage with a thunderous shot. Silly comments are no substitute for football smarts, fortunately Wilder and Knill appreciate what it takes to win games.

To be fair we made some poor choices today and didn't attack the box in the way that we have been doing so successfully. Part of that was because Duffy had an off day and Billy ended up having to do a Rooney and come almost to the half way line to get the ball.

I'm not having a go, but continually confusing a failure to score on every attack with the team being "shit" or today's favourite.. "garbage" is wearing..

"Shoot, shoot, stop fucking about and shoot"... Followed by "what he shoot for, could have taken another five yards".

I'm not footballing expert, but I'm equally entitled to be irritated by mindless negativity as my fellow fan is entitled to criticise every passage of play by a team taking top position in the league.

And also, run into the box with pace and if the ball arrives have a whack at it, if it doesn't go in then fair enough, it's my opinion that having a go is better than spilling the ball on the edge of the box while trying to thread a needle (so to speak ).... and also they can leg you over and give you a pen...

Gerritintbox is fine - from the correct positions. That's how we got our goal.

As said above, shit happens in the box! I actually said during the game that firing a cross into a crowded box and relying on deflections off the defenders could be our best bet, and that's exactly what happened. In this league defenders panic, often don't react quickly and fail to deal with the ball. If you play the percentage game with crosses from the right areas, you will nearly always get a goal, as long as you get enough crosses in something will drop for you.
