Take Chris Wilder, always was comfortable on the ball but when he brought it down and stepped inside to bring midfield into play would get a bollocking, used to drive me up the wall - can't remember who was in charge but suspect it was Bassett.

Yes it was Bassett who didnt like Wilder's style

I would say that if there is anyone in this club who isn't in it for the money it's certainly Clough. His business interests would keep him ticking along nicely without the added shit of this task. He's here to prove he can do this job. Let's just give him the chance eh?

Completely agree, but point is some may prefer another manager, but really who can we afford and who would come? I think Cloughy is the man. Just trying to put some perspective into the matter. It's all about budget i

Not many want a new manager..

The board will do for clough if he fails, regardless of fan support, that's why I say its no good saving the boards money, as it won't save his neck should he fail..

The fans didn't get weir the hook, it was all the club, think the only one we wanted out in recent years was Robson..

Everybody else went because of results, fans moaned a bit, but the board booted them....

All time leading Spanish goal scorer Messi = 5 FOOT 7 INCHES

Meanwhile, over in League One, we play at least 2 of 3 of Scougall, Reed and Doyle every week and they've scored one league goal between them all season!

Maybe the 3 didn't come in August cuz Nigel thought what the clubs wanted was too much n didn't wanna pay over the odds

What exactly is over the odds ?
Anything in demand and of a certain quality will have a higher price no matter what it is.

The excuse of being too expensive doesn't wash anymore, it's getting old and it's also a load of bolox as was proved when Coady went to Huddersfield for £350,000 after our boardroom told us Liverpool wanted £1.5 million
